Same here.
I was not really. The last matchup rowan lead in that game alot until the fourth quarter, but it was Morgan's senior night and the officiating was pretty spotty. Anyone heard how the 16th refs are fairing in the 9ths tourney? The 9th refs are really very good. No weird calls, they know what a hook looks like, let the players play on for incidental stuff.

I think Morgan took the lead once in the third by one, however Stone came down and hit a three. Rowan lead from that point on
You're correct.
-
Rowan lead the entire game.

St Pats is in the new building. I vote Augusta very nice old gym looks older than the 50's but no clue.
-
Was any defense played in this game?
Actually yes, brown had several blocks, there were several steals. Both teams were shooting threes. Great game to watch. Not sure how many have been in the Augusta gym, we're talking vintage. Sidelines were very narrow I sat on the floor and you were really in the game. If I were Augusta I'd never tear it down.

Final from Russell. Interesting game.

Final from Frenchburg

Wow, didn't expect it to be this close.Where all players present for this game?
Was a great game to watch both teams played well. Rowan's center is really improved over the summer. He's one to watch.

I wasn't there but heard from those that were that Biggs was laying on the floor he was so upset. The oscars are over. We all know you have to factor the refs.

Makes you wonder. I am among those that looked for much more consistency from the Vikes this season.
Still plenty of time, though.
I agree last season there was a surprising loss to Menifee County, they say it ain't over til it's over.

So much for my power of prediction....

Should be an interesting game unlike Elliott County. I'll take Rowan County by 5.

-
I'll take Rowan at home.

I always felt the officials had a very hard job. Trying to keep all that in mind in the heat of a game would be tough. Thanks for the great replies.

No wonder it appears inconsistent with the calls.

Ok I've been watching bball for a few years and have a rules question. A player has the ball and is dribbling, he falls...maybe the floor is wet, maybe another player gets tangled, maybe he just falls over his own feet. When is it traveling? I've seen this called in so many ways and so inconsistently. Sometimes it's a turnover sometimes he rolls around on the floor for awhile and manages to pass it. Just looking for what the rules say.

The Vikings outstripped most people's expectations this season. They worked hard, they played hard. If they couldn't get back to Rupp I'm glad it's our favorite team to "hate". Hope the Panthers enjoy Rupp and make 61 district noise at the big dance. "GO PANTHERS"!
