  1. Are you kidding me. Wright is a pure quarterback! Mattingly is a running back trying to be a quarterback. Let's see... Mattingly directs a broken play (1) touchdown in the entire game. Wright directs a 34 point offense (one TD was a 65 yd punt return by special teams stud Ryan White). Once T adjusted in the second half, Mattingly spent a lot of time running for his life. Zero first down until 4 minutes to go in the game. IMHO, I will take Wright over Mattingly any day of the week. I will say... Mattingly played his heart out. FYI! A one dimensional scheme will not beat this ROCK team. You could tell Glaser was struggling knowing he had to throw the ball to keep up. Good win ROCKS!
Who cant throw a screen pass? Anybody can do Wright's job

  3. They looked very slow vs the very fast Riverdale team. They just couldn't stop the Warriors offense. There QB hit on his 1st 15 passes, as well. For a team that is supposedely a wing T running team, they sure could pass effectively when they needed too. They kept X's defense off balance all night. I thought the X offense looked good. The QB is very good and they have some sure handed receivers. Problem is, no breakaway speed after the catch, more possession type receivers and they were pretty much stuffed running the ball. I'd guess there QB scrambles were there best running plays all night. What beat them though was losing the battle on the line of scrimmage. Honestly, if not for 2-3 Riverdale turnovers, it could have been a little worse. X also had a couple of opportunities to make it closer, but, couldn't capitalize on the turnovers they did force. Overall, I think X will be fine. They're still most likely the 2nd best 6a team in Ky and when these guys get a few games under there belts, they'll be a load.

Defense held Riverdale to 23 points, 10 in the first half, defense forced the turnovers so it wasn't worst.

  4. All the teams best players from those classes did not play JV. Those records aren't accurate. And Alex Mattinglys soph year he was out half the year with a collarbone injury i think it was. Lamondray Clemons played in about 6 games. Brandon Moore only played in 3, Along with Clyburn and Sermersheim. And this year Charles Walker will not play one game of JV.

  5. St. X's top 2 backs didnt play, Brandon Moore and La'Mondray Clemons. Patrick Sermersheim, the starting saftey didnt play. X started a Soph RB, backed up by another Soph. Stone and Clyburn were barely on the field at the sametime. Offense was missing big weapons, and the D was missing a hard hitting playmaker. And yet, they beat was suppose to be All World Simon Kenton pretty easily. St. X is still St. X and will always be. Definitly still a force in Kentucky.
