So some of you out believe rules were broken all year and the folks in charge did not discipline. And then before arguably the biggest game of the year, decide to punish a kid for an infraction. If that were the case, they would have waited a week to punish or again turned a blind eye to the infraction.

I'm taking Mercer County. No statistical or common opponent analysis. I just know Coach Cook and really like him. Two very very good high school teams.
-
Mercer going to take this one and advance. Too many weapons.

Augusta boys enrollment, grades 9-12. 47.
Scott boys enrollment is 485.
MoCo boys enrollment is 719.
Augusta played great. Played smart and made great decisions. Yes it is a small school, that's the good thing about about basketball. You only need to find 5-8 who can play.... And those boys can play.

Mason Co wins.
Interesting stat- Since 2008, this marks the fourth time that the regional tournament hasn't been held at the Fieldhouse. Mason Co has made it to the title game ALL four times and is 10-1 in those tournaments.
Moral of the story: Mason Co (and, everybody else) wins in regional tournaments because they are 1) the best team or 2) playing the best ball in the region at the time of the regional tournament.
It could be argued that Mason co had the best team at 27-3 last year and at 21-6 in 2014 and playing good ball at the end of the season and did not make the finals either year. Sometimes the best team does not win. MoCo had the best team in 2014 and Mason in 2015. Augusta played the best ball tonight. Can the do it on back to back nights?

Two great teams. Mooremiller31 can you give us a little more.

I've seen several of the young men on both sides for several years. Sw maybe a year away. Go Mercer!
-
It would only be fitting that Augusta and Mason meet one more time before both schools lose some great seniors!
It may be fitting that Paris and MoCo meet in the finals.

In defense of the fan, I have no idea what he said, but the call was blatantly wrong. Snapp gets hammered on offensive end and no call. Guard from Scott drives full speed down the lane directly into Snapp who grabs full ball before contact (so powerfully the driver was not able to elevate). Ref on baseline behind two Augusta players sight blocked to full action and must have thought Snapp wrapped arms around players body. Fans anticipate simultaneous possession with Augusta arrow. Ref comes running out calling flagrant. Blantant bad call. Defensive foul....okay, maybe...but a flagrant, NO WAY. No refs conferring except to call AD and police.
Very poor call. Foul yes. Flagrant no way. Almost as bad as the walk call (could have been flagrant foul on Pendleton) on Jones in the MoCo game. Happy for the young man in the Augusta game who hit the shot at the end.

The concessions are selling BBQ sandwiches and they are great. Had one Wednesday. The chili sauce is top notch too.

Is Clark co going to build a new gym at their new high school?
-
Paris makes 8-10 from threes. Not sure stats from line but seemed to shot well. 80 percent from three wins a lot of games. Paris played great.
-
Harlan County gym is incredible.

Does Campbell have any freshman that are not playing? Play varsity only?
-
Agee. Probably a good loss if you can have one. Mercer still number 1 in my book.
-
Omar Prewitt getting it done. It was a pleasure watching him in high school and now in college. William and Mary to the ncaas this year. You heard it here first!

What has happened to the generals?
-
Sounds like a good game. How about some details?
-
Pulaski played well. MoCo not so much. Foul count 6-1 to start the third with MoCo with 6. Trend continued. Good win for maroons.
-
Sounds like a great halftime adjustment.
-
I hear the eighth grade group he has coming is strong too. Will have a tough road this year in region but look out the the next three.
-
Looks like one of the solid teams in the district does not make the region. Which one?
-
I'm with stay strong. But thinking longer term, it would not be bad for Mercer to have a loss now.
-
SW very good. How's the foul count in second half?

Ben Jordan pitched a fine game. Great velocity with excellent control of all pitches. Looked like UK and Cincy were on hand to watch.
