  1. PT ripped off two quick touchdowns with the short pass during the 2nd quarter' date=' why they didn't keep going to Forrest and Harmon the entire game is beyond me. I realize Cox bounced several passes to his receivers and air mailed a couple in to the first row of patrons, but the screen and quick slant were there all night. He even stepped up and ran down the field for a couple of big gainers. IMO, play calling was too much by the book... we should do this, this and this and not what was working. Much of the night Jones covered Forrest, a difference of [i']at[/i] least a foot between the two and who knows what it was with leaping ability factored into that.

Wonderful job by the kicker Wynstra, calm cool and collected. That game winning field goal could have been hit from 40 to 50 yards.

Can't imagine anyone else on the schedule giving Mayfield anything close to this type of game until deep in the playoffs unless Graves Co. pulls a rabbit out of the hat in 2 weeks.

I agree PT had slants over the middle all night and even though Cox isn't as polished he could have hit a couple more for big yardage.

But IMO the kicking game is one of PT biggest issues. Timing is off, wrong guy trying the PAT, and not going for the field goal in OT. The guy who kicks a 40 yard field goal with 12 guys on the field doesn't kick the PAT?????????? Why is that. When you have two evenly matched teams the SPECIAL TEAMS decide the game.

  2. With Tilghman's schedule they are no easy games. And Mayfield is loaded with Guhy as their leader and a kicker who can hit 40 yard field goals. I think they could beat Mayfield but I doubt if they will. This early in the season they make to many silly mistakes. For example allowing two kickoff returns for touchdowns; one in each game so far.

  3. It's not that easy.

The state would have to approve taking land away from the county school district, which seems unlikely. I don't think it's ever happened, except for a subdivision or street, not an entire section of a county.

The boundry lines are totally rediculous. Lone Oak kids live 5-10 blocks from Tilghman and Health kids live one mile from Tilghman but drive 10 miles to Health. (These are estimates) But here is the truth. If you redrew the school boundry lines you wouldn't need to spend all the tax money to build a new high school.
