  1. Rocket, I know your pain, last spring I had what looked like a pimple on my right buttcheek but didn't give it much thought and continued to go about my business. A few days later it had gotten a bit bigger so naturally I gave it a squeeze or two and thought I was fine. About a week later what I thought was a painful boil had turned into a open sore that when squeezed would protrude with blood and the thick white puss. I FREAKED!!! It progressively became worse and to this day I have never been in a worse pain(imagine driving a vehicle with ZERO shock absorption). I went to the doctor and I was given a few antibiotics and told to sit in hot water and epson salt then sent on my way.

This case cleared up and to my knowledge I was healthy once again. Or so I thought...About a month and a half went by and another one of these "pimples" came up about an inch from the one before. I kept a close eye on this one and before long the same symptoms happened but it had now been diagnosed as MRSA. I was told the infection had channeled from the previous spot to this one and was much worse and much more painful. There was much more of the thick chunky puss this time and all they could do was give me a steroid of some sort I believe.

So far I've been alright and MRSA free but it is definitely the worse pain I have ever been in. Trust me the phobia of believing that everything you touch, breath, or see will give you MRSA will go away with time but don't quit being cautious. It was much worse for me the second time.

  2. The 38th District returns a lot of talent. Nicholas County loses a lot to graduation, but Pendleton County, Harrison County, and Deming return a lot.

Pendleton County returnees- Michael Walsh, Mason Monroe, Alex Valentine, Aaron Bonar and Asa Crozier

Deming- Kyle King, Luke King, Jonathon Caldwell, Calvin Schlach and Ethan Earlywine

Harrison County- Caleb Ford, Eric Sanders, Elijah Gross, Jordan Stubbs and Jordan Martin

Nicholas County may have the best all-around player returning in the 38th in Charles Washington. He will be a senior.

  3. Jared Martin has a 16-2 varsity pitching record. His only two losses are to Beechwood in the sectional tournament his eighth grade year and to a team out of Miami, Florida his freshman year. Beechwood made it to the state tournament game that year and Martin only allowed two runs against them as an eighth grader. He also has two perfect games in his varsity career. Sowder is a great pitcher but I dont see how he could be the number two pitcher in the region with numbers like these. Chasteen is also another hard throwing right hander that has alot of upside and its very underrated.

    Over who? Deming?

Breds Fan I don't mean to call you out but you seem to always be tooting Jared Martin's horn:sssh:

  4. Glad to see that. I watched him play a couple of times in high school and he was excellent. Good luck to him this season.

I remember him well, he was one of the most fundamental shortstops I've seen at the high school level. Is he still hitting from both sides of the plate?

I haven't seen him play in college but I caught a few of the boxscores when he played against UK. He has worked hard and deserves the recognition. Best of luck Drew!!!

  5. First and formost your wrong. I know the twins dad and he says they weren't held back. I believe this came up once before when they were in middle school and it was proven then they weren't held back because of a few boneheads thought they were either held back because of there size which was proven the accusations was false.

Held back or started late, in my eyes it is the same. Are they significantly older than other players in their class I believe so.

  6. Should we talk about GRC since there whole roster should be seniors???

NO!!! who cares what grade who should be in if the Kids meet the KHASS regulations and are eligable to play then there should be no issues or excuses.

I simply noted that in Deming's case these players who are a year older aren't having the same success that they were "famed" for in middle school.

If you want to talk about GRC then feel free, you as well as I paid a fee to talk about whatever we want...I simply wanted to talk about Deming

  7. 1. Robbie Stenzel

    2. Vinny Zollo

    3. Jacob Rieger

    4. Kellen Smith

    5. Treg Setty

    6. Malcolm Thomas

    7. Brady Jolly

    8. Kyle Campbell

    9. Corey Rogers

    10. Kyle King

IMO other great players in no order include Omar Prewitt, Dylan Hamilton, Timmy Cooper, Dillon Greene, Jared Martin, Jayln Daniels, Travis Purvis, Stephen Mason, Charles Washington, Aaron Jacobs, Colton Fraysure, Jake Niederregger, Jordan Gilbert, and Luke King

I like this. I think I'd switch Thomas and Rogers, and Jolly with Campbell.

  8. Interesting that your opening paragraph says that several kids couldn't be in the top 10 because they wouldn't "start for Clark Co." but then Purvis is at #7 and he doesn't start for Clark Co either... :idunno::eyeonyou::idunno::eyeonyou::idunno: :ohbrother::ohbrother::ohbrother:

I would have to agree with Plato on this one....
