  1. I'd say St. Henry has the nicest field in NKY at least. Plenty of seating, nice dugouts, plenty of foul territory, warning track all around the field that is taken care of, pretty long fences, 330 in left 390 in center and 310 in right. Doesn't come without a lot of work from the players though!

  2. For those of you who are reading this thread, please don't think ALL Rockcastle County fans think like this. As I said in the thread from tonight's game, I had a gut feeling that Madison Central could pull off the upset. The girls on Rock's team won't overlook anyone because Coach Noble won't let them. They play Clay County next and both are old rivals and with so much on the line, who knows what the outcome will be tomorrow night.

Every team has a fan like that. "Our team is better than everyone else and no one will even come close." Best to just ignore those people and have an intelligent conversation about basketball with the rest of the fans.

  3. I'd buy a copy in a heartbeat. Hope to God a video becomes available one day, and sooner than later. I bet many of us here on BGP would buy it as well. I'm tempted to start a thread solely on the topic of how many would. Since there is a video, all we can do now is keep the conversation alive about it and hope that either NewCath or Dixie lets it happen somehow. Please, Please Please release a video, please.

You can add me to the list. No doubt I would buy a copy of that game.

  4. I can see your point but I think in this instance the majority would be that this wasnt an intentional disrespect to NCC. If anyone knows Hatton personally I believe they could encount for his true respect for other players, coaches and the game of basketball itself. I am not stating that there are not a few people who would state he is entitled because of how the game went down but I dont believe based upon the majority of responses that is the case here. Granted there are a few comments of entitlement but not as a whole. I spoke with Bran about the situation and he stated by no means was there any disrespect intended towards NCC or there fan base. I just think someone jumped the gun on this one assuming what his intention was. Everyone knows what assuming does!

Completely agree with you. He is a Freshman and was absolutely pumped that he had just won the Regional Championship, as he should have been, so he let a little emotion out. BIG DEAL. The kid is 15, he is a Freshman in high school. I could find hundreds of pictures and videos of college and NBA players doing the same thing, and no one cares. Out of the almost 200 posts about this game I'd guess almost 50 of them are about that incident, and this post isn't helping obviously, but I was just amazed at how after a game, especially a game like this, all some pople want to talk about is a chest bump.

Anyways, Great game and good luck to Dixie at Rupp!

  5. There was no foul at the end. This was a great game to watch and the refs did a good job. Walton just came up short, N.O. was more talented and I feel had a better game plan. The best team won on this night.

I saw 3 pictures taken in sequence at a very good angle of the shot as it happened and if you say it wasn't a foul, then we have VERY different definitions of a foul.

  6. I agree with panther fan.

So what if the manner in which the "new" referres call the game is just a litte different than what the "regular" refs in that region have called all year. It's fair for both teams with no bias for how the teams have previously played. Good teams and good players can adjust !!

At this point in the season you don't want to have to make big adjustments. The regular season is for preparing for the post season. You find a style of play that works for your team and work on it over the course of the regular season to get your team ready for the post season. If your team is a physical team, you find out how physical the refs in your region let teams be, and you go with it. You don't want refs in the regional tournament that blow the whistle at the slightest bit of contact because that is not how your team has been playing all season.

  7. Listened to the game on Pegasus. Of course they are Oldham's radio station and did a good job. Even they said that Brockman was fouled. Not by Rowan who made a clean block but by another player. You take the ball to the rim hard is all you can do. Not too many officials are going to give you that call in the last couple of seconds of the game. Great job Bearcats.

I wasn't at the game but talked to a few people who were, and apparently there was contact. IMO, whether it is the end of the game or the beginning, if it is a foul it is a foul and you are supposed to call it. Doesn't matter if it is in the last few seconds and could decide the game. Your not 'Giving' the team the foul call, if it is a foul it is a foul and you call it.

  8. I'm not sure about that you have to think Calathes was doing it in front of 22,000 screaming fans Robbie did it in front 2,000 I am glad Calathes missed them but not sure you can make the same comparison.

You also have to take into consideration this kid is just a sophomore in high school and Calathes is in college, yes alot more people were that the Florida game but he has a little more experience I would say.
