  1. I thought of something as my son slept until 11:00 this morning. No team in the state will have its normal activities today as they prepare for the regional tonight. No school today so the players should be better rested but will the unusual schedule affect anyone’s play? Of course this would be imposable to determine but it’s just a thought. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

  2. Below is the information from the KHSAA site. If I'm reading this correctly the game will be away. (East and North are both in Region: 1 District: 4)

    5) For the semi-state round (fourth round), the champion of

region 1 will play the champion of Region 2 while the champion

of Region 3 will play the champion of Region 4. The team

representing the even-numbered Region shall host the games

in even-numbered years, while the team representing the odd numbered

Region shall host the game in odd-numbered years.

Well I hope to driving west next Friday. Go West Young Man, ah Eagle.

  3. I believe BE will be making a trip to the finals if they win this week were will the semi-finals be at?

That’s a good question. Both teams would be #1's. I hope we don’t have to find out. It would be much easer that way. North Bullitt won’t mind traveling to Western KY again this year. They are better equipped to handle it with the experience they gained going to Lone Oak last November.

  4. I found this in another Thread it was posted by (time2punt). It backs up my feeling on NB Defense.

"North's defense stood up and shut down Brewer and the Valley Vikings. Add that to holding Western to 6 last week as well. Valley came into the game as the 5th highest rushing offense in the state at 344 yds per game with Brewer leading the way at 168 ypg. North stepped up and held Valley to 151 ydss on the ground."

  5. It’s always a tuff battle when these schools get together in any sport. BE won the regular season meeting this year as they did last year. In last years state tournament however BE was never really in the game as NB went on to win the Region. That was last year and these are different teams than in years past. This year NB defense is playing as good as any in the state. They are only allowing an average of 14 point per game on the season. BE hung 17 on them in early October and I can’t see that happening on Friday the way the NB line backers and DB’s have been playing these last few weeks holding both Western and Valley to only 6 points respectively. I wish all the players good luck but my prediction is NB – 24, BE – 14.
