That also includes you doesn't it? It is alright if we post on here isn't it? I do see a few from cat land.
We have been playing againt these kids through JFL. So we know most of them. So some of us are compelled to say what we think. I know you always say what is on you mind.
Yes that includes me also, Greenup needs to keep focused on the task at hand! Good luck Greenup I believe you can suprise Mason County and walk away with a win.
-
Greenup Needs to play with the same heart they played Rowan and they will win this one.
-
Gosh is this a ram post or what? I see a bunch of orange post on here and very few Greenup or Mason. But I think the only moral problems the kids have is when they read what adults from other teams write about them good and bad. And your right kids will be kids they fight one day and are friends the next, Unless someone with a sour taste in their mouth keeps it stirred up! But thats just my opinion!

Agree! Defense wins ballgames. Our defense was better earlier in the season and now they have fallen apart. It looks as if the fire and determination has gone out of this team... Turnovers, missed assignments, bad playcalling, etc. has taken its toll. I hate it for the boys, they have had a tough year, new coaching staff, learning a new offensive system, the death of a teamate and QB, the loss of another QB, kids quitting, kids coming back and quitting again, injuries...This team has faced so many obstacles. NOW is the time for the leaders to STEP up and get the team FIRED up! Come together again, play with some fire and determination, HIT SOMEBODY!, BLOCK! BELIEVE! End the season with the same attitude you started...
I agree! IMO there were too many "white" pants for the muddy field conditions. You could just tell by the way they were standing on the sidelines that they didn't have any fire or determination. And I'd like to ask something....Where is Greenup's fans? There's noone to cheer them on. I think the most I've heard out of the fans were when we played Raceland. Haven't heard anything since. No wonder the boys are down...they need some motivators.

I wish Greenup the BEST of luck Friday! I hope they come out focused and ready to get that WIN! Greenup plays very well as a team and it shows. They play till the very end with their all and that's what it takes to win. So GOOD LUCK and may everyone remain injury free! :thumb:

I think Ashland will win this one big, And Hunter will Shine and everyone will see that he has became a great leader and will show everyone what kind of team the Tomcat's will be in the District and Playoffs!

Fairview 28 Raceland 14 Sorry Rams I don't think you can see Red Enough, you have a tough game ahead, The Eagles won't back down and will take it! unless you get Real hungry and i don't think you are! Have a safe game and may the BEST!!! Team Win.

How very true!

Want to give credit where credit is due.I always new that the Carter kid had some speed and a few moves, but wow he is the real deal.He earned every yard that he ran last night, there wasn't a decent hole all night but yet 279yrds .He played great, good hard-hitting tackles, great hard-nosed blocks, and of course great running.I am probably the last person to give him any credit but he deserves it.
I agree TOTALLY! Except the part where, "I'd be the last person to give him any credit". Anybody that watched the game would have to give him credit. He played a good, solid game and the whole team gave 110% and never let up! :thumb:

Greenup played a good game and never quit. Waugh looked good at QB, Congratulations to Carter he had a BIG night!

Congratulations Tomcats

I came across Ohio's version of BGP. And they dont like us very much at all over there. They have qouted me, Graybeard, and a couple others from this site:lol:.
I dont really know my limits on posting links or qoutes or I would. But I can tell you they have ZERO RESPECT for you over there.
GO OUT AND SHOW THEM SOMETHING GREENUP!
I too came across one, and you're right, they show absolutely NO RESPECT! I'm not quite sure how to post a link, but the sight I found is....southeasternohiopreps.com.
-
Greenup.....I have read some of the postings on southeastern ohio preps and it seems as though Coal Grove thinks that they will have no problem handling you. Come out on the field with nothing but a WIN on your mind and show them who they are playing against! :thumb:

As I understand it Reed left the team to play in a baseball tournament. There hasn't been any problems welcoming Carter to the team. As most of the boys see it, he was their's to start with. They played with him in JFL.
I hope you're right PureFan.... I could probably guess that Carter feels like he's picking up where he left off from the JFL days! :thumb:

I would think it falls more along the lines of: I've been here my whole life working for this, it's not fair he just comes in and takes over. This isn't NFL kids don't see it the way you mentioned above. I do see your point but like I said these are KIDS. Many factors come into play when something like this happens. It's not always just about the team to them. I don't even know if this rumor is true. We may be talking about something that's non existant.
I understand what you're saying, but he can't come in and take over unless someone lets him and I'm sure that Carter has worked all his life just as hard to be able to do the things he's accomplished. I hope this rumor isn't true....because it sounds like the classic "Me, Me, Me" syndrome. Reed is only hurting hisself by quiting. Greenup needs to be a team and play like a team to accomplish anything.
-
Rumor has it that Reed did not agree with the new Musketeer motto – "Sacrifice, Commitment, Carter."
Then what's say of him as a Musketeer? "I quit because of some issue with another player." IMO, with him being quarterback and team captain, he should welcome and be thrilled of any chance to improve the team. I'm not sure of what's going on...I'm just replying to your quote. Everbody adjusts to certain situations in their lives, Carter had to adjust....and Reed quits?! Kind of makes you wonder about his loyalty to the team from the beginning.

I know a little about Coal Grove seeing as though they were my school's big rival back in the day. They always seem to put together a big, strong team. On that note, I still don't think that they will be able to stop Greenup's speedy backfield. Greenup needs to come out focused and play their hearts out. No doubt if they play like they did against Raceland, they will for sure come out on top. Minus the silly penalties. :ylsuper:

Way to go. :puke:

Great game Tomcats!
-
For the first time since he left I think Ashland will miss the speed and quickness of Rachard Carter on both sides of the ball.
Very, Very True!
-
Congratulations Tomcats!! Great game for Alber!! :thumb:
-
Good game Greenup County......way to TCB! Great game for Carter on his opening night as a Musketeer! :dancingpa
-
All I can tell you about Carter is that when he asked to join the team he agreed to the team rules. Since that date he has missed five practices including Monday .So by my calculations he won't be playing unless the coach treats him differently than the rest of the team. Either way Greenup comes out on top of a very hard fought battle.
I find that hard to believe:confused:
