HC is going to have to practice really hard this week and come ready to play if they want to beat this excellent DeSales team. They can not keep taking weeks off like they did for Shadyside, that will guarantee them a loss.
-
IMO this is going to be a very close hard fought game, and I am going to say that HC wins 21-17. OT may be needed once again for a decision. But this is going to be a great game.

Round 2 of the 2A playoffs. How do you see this one playing out?
-
Thank you. Actualy we had two players taken by ambulance. Thank you for your prayers.
Who were the players?
-
We shall see.
Yes we will.
-
I do not not know very much about Owen, but I can see HC by 3 touchdowns, they will come ready to play. IT'S THE PLAYOFFS BABY!
-
The game will be played at Scott High School.
How will this game play out?
-
I haven't seen Newport play but from what I've seen DeSales do I'd say they have this game by 2 or 3 touchdowns at least.
I agree, I do not know much about DeSales this year, but from what I have heard they are a good team. 2 or 3 td's at least.

This is going to be a pretty good game IMO. I think that Lloyd will come out on top though if their recievers do not have any dropped passes. Lloyd has a strong passing game, therefore i say Lloyd by one or two touchdowns.
-
Good win for HC. Who does it look like HC will host in the playoffs?
I am pretty sure Owen County, but if not them, Carrol County. If they win that game, they travel down to Lousiville to play Desales.
-
Big win for HC, now they get to host a playoff game first round. Congrats Indians and keep working hard seniors! Playoffs will be here before you know it!
-
HC by 2 or 3...
-
I have lived near Scott for the Majority of my life, and I have seen much talent around the area, but they decide not to play football because they are playing basketball or baseball and do not want to get injured for their sport while playing football for a team that usually doesnt get many wins and has no tradition, there is no drive. Also another case is they want to play at Dixie or SK, where there is tradition and they have a chance at winning. I do not blame the kids for winning, but I think it is a shame, and hope for the best for Scott in the future.

Wow is this going to be a good game. I am gonna have to take HC by 3 though. This is going to be a har fought battle, but in the end HC has too much talent.
-
With that being said though, NCC does deserve to be in the top eight, I just believe Holy Cross should be too. Not at 4 though... that is too high.
-
If you are putting NCC in this elite eight, Holy Cross needs to be in there too. Holy Cross has had a tough schedule, so they will be more than ready for playoffs. Holy Cross is also loaded with talent. So if you put NCC in (who I think is highly overrated just because they are NCC) Holy Cross should also get in on some of the action
-
Where is this game being played? Newport or NCC? I think that, home field advantage, will have some bearing on who wins...
Well they do share the same home field, which is Newports field so that really has no affect in this game. NCC can not overlook the wildcats, if they do, this will be a battle instead of a blowout.

Scott 21-17.

Finally a Scott win!

Here's a question: with how well CCH hung in there with Cincy LaSalle and their convincing wins against Campbell County and Beechwood in the past two weeks, is there a chance that CCH is either 2nd or 3rd in NKY right now?
No, because SK and Ryle are just a level above CCH as of now, Beechwood is having a down year, I think Cov Cath is placed correctly as shown above, but as the season progresses I would like to see if CCH can move up on this top ten.
-
great game by two great teams, most excitment i have seen in a friday night game in a long time. HC had this one in the bag and just gave it away. Beechwood ran all over HC in this game, and HC ran all over beechwood, the offenses really sparked tonight. HC needs to take this as a lesson and learn from this loss to make them better, and IMO, they will do just that.
-
HC will take care of business on defense and offense, Beechwood wont be able to score. HC is very experienced offensively and defensively. Therefore, HC wins this one.
-
Sowder was the man tonight for the Eagles. He was the difference in giving the Eagles a chance to win. He made some great passes and runs all night for the Eagles on offense and I can't tell you how many tackles he was in on on Defense. As I said earlier in the prediction thread, Sowder is all the Eagles have and they will live and die by his play this year. Hopefully the senior, as well as the rest of the team, will get a win under their belt sometime this year. They should have a great chance when they play Bellevue.
I am a Scott fan, and I highly doubt that they will beat Bellevue. JMO though.

Congratulations Bellevue on the win, sounds like they played with a lot of heart and sounds like buckler had a good game. Looking forward to see what the rest of the season holds for them.
