Should have been easy to roll through the SEC this year, but not with the players we have (Tubby recruits) and the coach we had (BCG).

UK had (TWO) of teh top 20 players in America, GT () would have them in the E8 right now...

Agree....Not just the #1 seed, But the Overall #1 seed....

So he won a title every 8 years and basically put UK basketball on the map. Plus, his best team didn't allowed to play in the tournament because Hagen and Ramsey were not eligable.

 

Please don't compare Tubby to Rupp.

I want to make it clear that I don't know people in "the know". I know a lot of people that live in or around the Lexington area that know a couple players, but generally don't ever hear much. I had a chance encounter with someone very much in the know last night though, and at this point I'm just going off what that person told me.

I've always found the animosity for Saul puzzling. Especially when you consider the current UK team probably wins 25-26 games with him at PG, and run away with the SEC title.

Personally I don't think we should have hired Tubby to begin with. If UK had hired Donovan back then we would have won 2 national championship and had a runner up finish.

Talked to my Nephew today ( James Phillips ), Told me he was up to 262 in weight now. Which Is good considering the fact, It's not fat, I have challenged him, Not on the field, But off, Grades, Weight lifting, Seems to be working, I wish James the best...
