  1. Guys I can tell you Coach Spencer from Southwestern was the OC at Southwestern last season. He also coached at Wayne County with Jeff Griffith the DC at Bowling Green. He also coached with Shawn Thompson at Wayne County. He has put in time and has been a FINE Assistant with GOOD COACHES and he has learned a lot from all of them. He needs to have everyone's support at Henry County to help that program to continue to grow they have had some good years and with the new district alignment they will need a united effort and i am sure Coach Spencer will do a fine job for them. He is a very dedicated hard working coach that puts the players first and I know he will help them grow into fine young men and fine football players. He has a solid background, he is dedicated, knowledgeable, hard working and he does care about the players. He will run a disciplined program with expectations set high and he will continue to build on the hard working ethic that Henry County has been successful with.

  3. What does Southwestern need to do to improve in 2009? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

    1) Need some Strong Leadership will be a youthful team

    2) Play more consistent on both sides of the ball

    3) Improve Special teams. Cost the team last year at least 2 games

    4) Be Able to Run the football

    5) Be able to stop teams from running the ball

    6) Take care of the football Fewer Turnovers. Cost last years team 2 games

    7) Become a more disciplined team on the field

    8) USe the Strengths the team has to more consistently

  4. Next year the State Finals are still going to be in Louisville. After that point PJCS May not be available because of scheduling problems with the Big East. So until we hear back from the big East and UL it is too early to worry about moving the games. But Right now the only other possible Stadium and surface would be Western Kentucky. With the expansion that is currently underway the stadium will be a great fit for the event but it may be a little far for some to travel. What other options do you suggest ?

  5. What makes it even worse in this case is that the coach doesn't know any better either, the KHSAA didn't do a good enough job explaining how this works. Do you think this might end up on Boyle County's bulletin board--as if they need any extra motivation? There will probably be several teams that "won" district titles watching another team receive the actual championship trophy in the playoffs and not be happy about it.

Maybe he did his research. There will be a regular season District Champion and Runner-up
