  1. My father, David Fowler, passed away this morning at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He played quarterback for Mayfield and Coach Jack Morris for four years. He suffered a knee injury his senior year in high schoo, but still ended up playing quarterback at Memphis State before eventually playing with the L.A. Rams. He still holds many Mayfield records and even a few at Memphis, even without the field being as wide-open for offense as it is today.

My dad was always very modest about his accomplishments on the field and as a youngster, I didn't know the right questions to ask. If anybody has any stories they could share about him, my family and I would appreciate it greatly. He loved the game. My dad was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago, but right up until the end, he could talk about Mayfield and Memphis and how much he loved to compete. He was an amazing athlete and an amazing man. His devotion to his game and to the spirit of team were a part of his life. We, his family, were honored to be his last team. I have attempted to carry on his legacy both on and off the field. I will miss my dad greatly...

  3. I watched Owen play SK in 7 on 7. Talked to the father of # 9 and he said the fastest player for them was #2 and SK had faster players. I know Lloyd has some very fast kids they always do.

You talked to Jerry Smith? Good man. I will tell you that on Friday you can expect a hard hitting game.

  4. Are you serious? I do know Owen has 2 fast kids but I think Lloyd has several kids that can match their speed. Owen's QB throws the ball side armed. Could mean a lot of tip balls or picks.

Then you dont know much about Owen. 6 of their skill players were also on Owen track team that went to state and 4 of the 6 run at 4.7 or better. They have a ton of speed.

  5. I found out something in this game. DeSale's showed they are very low class and bad sportsmanship. Under 50 seconds left till the half they was up 40 to 0 and they was taking time out to try to put another score in. They never let up came out to start the 3rd passing the ball. Late in the 4th up almost 50 points they was running a hurry up offence. Desale's was the better team but the coaching staff have a lot to learn about sportsmanship and have a little class about them. I see they same fait as last year for the Colts. NKY team play with class and show good sportsmanship win or loose.

Coach Sander and his staff are extremely classy. His second and third teams are very good and deserve a chance to run their offense
