  1. A kid to watch is Cody Hurley. A sophomore this year. He had to sit out because of transferring from Williamstown to Grant County. At Williamstown he played varsity as a 7th grader and has started varsity 8th and 9th grade. He pitches and plays 3rd, 1st and catches. Also has played every other position at one time or another. As a Freshman batting avg. of .415, on base % of .623, slugging % of .472. On the mound he had 45 K's in 43 innings.

  2. Williamstown has a very young team. Hasn't shown in the record but has been in every game this year. This team starts 4 freshman on the varsity squad. Cody Hurley and Issac Alger both are starting pitchers and play several positions. Both are hitting around .400 and over .600 on base %.

  3. I was at the game, terrible umping both ways. You had the play at home against Dayton and also had a horrific call against Williamstown in the last inning. Home half of the last inning, bases loaded, 1 out, 2 strikes on the batter. High and tight fastball, the batter goes to his backside to avoid being hit and swings as he falls. The ump calls a ball...... he says that the batter was making no attempt to hit the ball.....but he swung. The next pitch was a slow roller to 3rd to win the game for Dayton. As far as the DH goes Dayton was trying to use a 10th batter not a DH.
