It is not the teams responsibility to schedule the refs. They pay an assigning secretary to do that job. That is who dropped the ball and made these teams wait two hours to finally get the game started. Only in Fayette county would something like this happen.

Seems to be a pretty good match up on paper. Who wins this one?

All of the teams in Region 7 and 8 are "down" this year(in comparison to the last couple of years) except Dunbar and Tates Creek and neither of those two have had success as of late. Lafayette also lost their OC recently which has hurt them. To me Trinity and St. Xavier seems to be the logical choice as well. If a I had to name a true darkhorse this year I would like to throw Conner out there, I believe they have a one of the best players nobody really talks about in Nick West.
I have heard that the Head coach will resume the play calling duties at Lafayette. He was the OC under Harmon and they were pretty successful back then. Losing the OC should not hurt them too bad. Looks like all of the Fayette county schools will be better this year IMHO.

Tates Creek is hosting the Fayette County Invitational this year. The games will be played on Friday and Saturday.

Eric shaw Jr. from Lafayette High School, in Lexington Ky was named to the ALL Combine team, made up of the top 25 athletes, at the NIKE Sparq combine in Cincinatti last weekend. Out of the three RB's named to the All combine team, he was named as the #1 Rb/Prospect based on his performance in the 40yard dash, Shuttle, Vertical, power toss. Very impressive, considering all of the athletes that attended.
congratulations to this young man!!

Lafayette returns their entire offensive line, Defensive line, QB, most of their linebackers, and Eric Shaw. This will also be the second year for the coaching staff. I beleive Lafayette won the city/district title last year. It will be interesting to see how they compete in a district with Scott co., Bryan Station, and Dunbar.

Lafayette's Field is not in good shape. They are the only team in Fayette County without a new field.
-
The score was 14-0, when Lafayette ran the Fake punt. By no means is 14-0 running up the score or padding their margin of victory.
Lafayette also had permission from Coach Miller to continue with their pregame activities, and they were not kicking into the senior night festivities. You may want to stop embelishing the facts.

Lafayette 28-7

Henry Clay 28-14

You cannot use scores of like opponents to determine the ability of a team. That makes absolutely no sense.
-
Centers cant score touchdowns. Without Hooker they havent won a game with him they are 2-0. Simpson is a good player but not someone who changes whether you win or lose like Hooker does.
They had Hooker when Lafayette beat them a couple of weeks ago.

Who wins?

Anyone go to this scrimmage? How did both teams look?
-
Has anyone heard how any of the other Lexington schools, besides Dunbar, did in their scrimmages?
-
I thought he (Hensley) resigned to, "spend more time with his family"?????????

Any word out of Lexington about the Dunbar Job?
