I think they have just two...Kelli Ryan and Claire Hoffa. Both have started, but from what I've seen Coach Miller has a pretty good rotation that really hasn't allowed super-significant minutes (28+) all the time. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, as I haven't seen all their games.
Both are valuable though, as they're able to take some of the pressure off of, and spell Dixon (So.) and Ginn (Fr.).
The future is very bright for WV, as you pair those two underclassmen with the likes of Sandlin (8th) and Judy (8th), and they could have a dominating front line with a very good point guard.
I am very curious. There is a Sandlin that plays for Boone County and when speaking to her mother, she said the family is from the Walton/Grant Co. area. I was wondering if these two girls are related. Who are the parents on the Sandlin 8th grader at WV?

Very True! If all Boone's shots were on last night, it would have gone the other way! Again, as I said before, the guards keep the team in the game! Great defense on Allen!
-
I thought Boone's guards did a great job keeping both Allen and Conner from getting in the double digits. Hats off to Towels, great job in the paint! Boone may have had a chance if Birds bench wasn't so deep! Great job Birds!

Terrific Photo's! Great cause and hats off to both coaches for a JOB WELL DONE! Watch out Panda's we will see you at REGIONALS! Ha! Ha!
-
Both are great defensive teams and with HHS depth on the bench, they are un-stopable!
Good luck to both teams!

I sure hate to see or hear about any player getting injured. My prayers with the player and family and hope for a speedy total recovery!

Great game for Boone County's junior guard, Heather Sandlin. Game high 20 points. Bradley had an off shooting night, but other guard stepped it up and Bradley had the assists. If they play together like that they will be unstoppable!

Whoops! I mean 9th Region!

This could go either way! Is Jackson back or not? This will be the game of the girls basketball season in the 9th district. It will probably go into overtime! Highlands by 2.

The Cincinnati Enquirer has Rowan County with two players in double figures. Kissinger (26) & Martin (13).
Rowan County (5-0) - Muncy 1 1 3, Kiser 0 1 1, Brockman 2 5 9, McClain 0 2 2, Riddle 4 0 9, Neeley 1 0 2, Martin 3 7 13, Kissinger 9 6 26. Totals: 20 22 65.
The Boone County coach still hasn't figured out that you can't let one kid beat you. I have seen her let this happen time after time.
Kissinger was averaging 13ppg prior to the Boone County game. Obviously she is not impossible to defend .
I think the Boone County coach was out coached this game. Keeping a very quick guard back at the 3 point line was not effective. Tough loss for Boone, but you have to use all your talent against a team like Rowan County. You cannot beat five with one player!

Well, it's about time someone posted about Boone County. They may be small this year and if their PG doesn't quit showing off, they could be really good. Small but really quick. Fookes needs to not let the PG take all the shots, their are 4 more capable players that can shoot!!!
-
Boone will not be out of the district. They only lost 1 senior last year. They will be as good as Highlands, Conner, NDA and NCC.
-
There is no comparrison from Coach Fookes to Coach Stowers. Coach Fookes can and DOES more with her players than anybody I have ever seen in the State of Kentucky.
-
I agree Allie Connor will be a force for HHS. I think Heather Sandlin at BCHS will also be someone to watch this coming year. Just look at the stats from last year!
-
OPPS! It is NOT right to rate Boone with one player!
-
Well at the TM camp games, Boone played mainly JV players for the experience. It is right to rate Boone with one player. One player can't win a game. I thought HC will do a very nice job this year and have very many nice players!
-
Totally agree on Allie Conner, like Heather Sandlin from Boone these girls are much under-rated. Wait till their junior and seniors - watch out!!!

Heather Sandlin from Boone. An upcoming player to watch!

I think it is a little late in the season to talk about someone playing out of district! District games right around the corner. Also, Moss and Winters, There has to be a reason they are not playing, anyone know the real details! Also, Hats off to the Ryle team, they have been playing very well without their big girls - all players really have stepped up for the challange!
