  1. No wonder our kids are so bad just look at what you so called adults are writing on here. The kids can't grow up because they have no role models at home. I dought any of you who are bashing Rose Hill or last

years Rose Hills Coaching Staff have a clue about basketball. Coach Watkins may be a good coach but just remember that good coaches are usually made by good players. For any coach to be sucessfull the team must have some talent and be dedicated.

  2. AAU Ball will only help if the kid is already a pretty good player and is only looking to be seen by College Coaches. Most players in high school really can get a pretty nice ride if they will spend the most of there time working on there individual game. If you are going to go to a camp its a good Ideal to go to the camp of the school you would like to attend but be realistic and don't go to a Pat Summit camp hoping to get signed if your not already a Very Good Player. I say put in alot of time in the gym by yourself first developing your skills then worry about Camps and AAU later on .

  3. I also think that alot of girls loose interest during the middle school years because there season is way to short and they don't play enough to really stay interested . I'm talking about the Entire teams not getting enough time . at most middle school season only lasts 2 months . Some girls do get to move on to freshman or Jv but not all of them.

  4. This is not a problem with only girls teams but also boys teams. Alot of kids both male and female do not like to put in the extra time it takes to be good, then when the playing time isn't there they look to blame someone or something else and decide to quit. i can only speak about Ashland because I live here but go drive around the city one day and look at all the empty basketball courts outside that have no one on them. The interest just isn't there to speak of.

  5. Let me first say that my posts on here only represent how I feel about transferring as a whole. I have no personal problems with either kid . I totally agree that transfers have been going on forever and wil continue to go on . With that said I still have a problem with all theses kids all over the state who transfer for whatever reasons. I do accept it but that doesn't mean I like it or agree with it .

  6. If they both are ruled eligible then this will open up the flood gates for everyone who wants to transfer for Whatever reason will have to be allowed to . The Khsaa will loose so much respect if they allow them to play. I'm wondering if money was responible for ruling to go there way or if UK had some input in it . Once again if you have a name for yourself then you can get away with anything in this country .

  7. It is foolish not to believe some form of recruiting existed from someone in this case (not saying Scott Co. at all). But it is naive to contend that all 3 kids from the same AAU team end up at the same high school at the same time and it was just what was best for the families????? I have no problem with the transfer rules and however KHSAA wants to make them but my problem has always been with the enforcement of them. They do not always apply to individuals the same way. How many kids have had to sit a year for legit transfers because of the SS's ruling. I will bet the number is huge. I can think of 4 within 40 miles of my locale. All I am saying is use some common sense, adhere to the rules after investigation and stick to them firmly. If the KHSAA does that then all 3 are ineligible! If it walks, talks and smells like a duck then it is most likely a duck.

Very well said. I agree 100 percent

  8. The rules state that you can't transfer because of basketball reasons. When the dad made all his public comments about why they chose Scott Co. all those reasons were basketball reasons. If the dad would not have made thosae comments I truly believe he would have had no problem in being eligible. I'm just against all the transferring that takes place .

  9. They may both get to play but going by the Rules they both should have to sit out a year. Everyone knows they transferred because of Basketball and to say other-wise is just being unrealistic. If there allowed to play this will open it up to any kid who wants to transfr to anywhere for basketball reasons will have to be allowed to do so. I hope the state doesn't let these to players and there parents break the rules just to satisfy there basketball needs.

  10. Jacksons mom said it was because of personal reasons that he transferred but i find it strange that not only did he transfer to the same school as Euton but almost at the same time. Doesn't anyone else find this to be very funny that all of a sudden theres personal problems in the family and that he just has to transfer to the same school as Euton ? I hope the rulings stand .

  11. The bottom line is outside of Breathitt Co. no one really cares who there coach will be. High School sports has gotten way out of line these days and the kids are the ones getting left behind as we tend to put way to much importance in theses sports teams. ITS HIGH SCHOOL PEOPLE LETS CONCENTRATE ON MAKING BETTER GRADES SO WE CAN EXCELL LATER IN LIFE AT SOMETHING BESIDES SPORTS
