  1. Laugh and mock all you want but SK does return 8 starters on D. Tri-State Sports must have miss quoted Coach Marksberry.(Imagine that a blog getting something wrong) SK's Defense will be their strength throughout the entire year. Their only losses on Defense were Picarillo, Brown, and Kaiser.(All 3 are playing their college ball at Campbellsville.) Miles and Jordan Hansel did not start and only spot played on defense. Baldwin and Lockard will be a load at linebacker. So mock if you will.

  2. OkOK Enough!! May be UK36 is a little excited about SK but really like there aren't any of your fellow Birds or Raiders that aren't a little over exuberent? On paper Ryle is the team to beat in 6A. I totally agree with that assessment but, many had Conner, Boone and Ryle ahead of SK this time last year. That is why they play the games. I agree with NeerFan I wouldn't trade Chad for anyone in NKY or the State for that matter, the kid is just a winner. If the line gels the Ryle/SK game will be a dandy.

  3. As a collective group the bunch from SK is very solid. They do not have one superstar at reciever which means it will be hard to defend them all. And yes we will play with 5 linemen and yes if we could figure a way for Lawerence to throw himself the ball and block for himself we would. By the way Lawerence and Simpson took turns driving the bus to games alst year.

  4. Face it, IF Ryle had not "lost" a certain player to a certain team, they would have certainly been the overall favorite to win the region. In fact, if they had lost that player and that player was not allowed to play this season because of transferring, Ryle would have likely won. I cheer for the teams who have the players they're supposed to have and not players from other programs. I am not putting blame on any particular person, but this is high school basketball and you should play with the athletes within your system and not with ones who decide they want to get "drafted" to another program because they want to be a more visible star player. Just my opinion - I know there are a lot of nay-sayers out there and I respectively just disagree with your viewpoint as you do with mine.

What's that old saying " people in glass houses shouldn't........"

No matter what they had a tremendous year and should be the odds on favorite next year to win the 9th. Crittenden is the best I have seen in quite some time. Best of luck in 2010-2011.

  5. Although Miles is a very team oriented player, he took into account how many running backs were being signed/had all ready commited to the schools he was considering. Needless to say I think he wants to play back in the SEC. By the way in the Semi-final game last year Justin Green couldn't catch him and he (if I am correct) was the defending 100m champion and is a RB at Illinois.

  6. Boone is on fire, and SK will be without Wainscott. Sarcasm with Brown is normal for me. Hope to not offend, I still think SK has the 8th all the way but Boone is rock solid in the tough 9th Region.

My bad ebrown said tuesday so I was thinking you were talking about WV because SK plays Boone tomorrow. I agree it will be very hard for them to beat Boone.

  7. The officiating wasn't the best I've seen, that's for sure. There were alot of questionable calls or lack there of, especially in the 2nd half. There were 8 fouls called on SK before there was one called on NDA. Brown and Pace fouling out really hurt the Pioneers down the stretch. Ponzer is an animal. There is no other word to describe the athletic ability that young lady posses. :notworthy: Bounce back Pioneers and get the W tomorrow!!
