  1. Monroe played great. Monroe & Cooper helped the Wildcats win. Wildcats need to kick the ball back out & wouldn't have as many turnovers. Driving & leaving their guards wide open almost cost them the game. They played good as a team but still need to improve.

Pendleton County played a hard fought game and deserved this win. Their offense looked more like the dribble drive then CCHS did. I don't agree that Mason Monroe won that battle though. Mason made things happen for his offense with assist but not much scoring, he also played pretty good D. McGovney didn't see half as much time due to foul trouble and scored 5 w/ 5 boards and 1 assist. I would say what they brought to the table was pretty even. Pendleton County won the battle tonight.

Camels need to keep working on this new offense because that offense looked liked last years, when I heard dribble drive I was expecting a lot more running up and down the court and not so much passing. Code is got time to get this right though. I believe he can do it. Needs to have it done before next week against are district rival Brossart.

  2. You may not want to forget Jones and Farrell who hit big threes in this game also polarwildcat. They played as a team also. :idunno:

That's why I said "they" played as a team. I meant the whole team. I was just saying 5 in double figures & that is great for "their teamwork". Jones & Ferrell are part of the team, not just the ones that score, even the bench are part of the team.

  3. I hope this was meant to be a joke because Deming never plays great defense. This is the reason why they don't win games that they should. Until the coach realizes that defense wins games this program will never improve to where it should be with the talent they have. On a side note Rex Schalch was dressed tonight and played a few minutes. Great to see you back on the court Rex!!

This wasn't meant as a joke! Both teams played great defense.

  4. "Other times throughout spring and summer they are playing on different traveling teams. From what I've seen these games are playing soley on offensive ability and the ability to score one on one. "

This is so true, that is what is wrong with players now. Why can't a coach teach the player to fundmentally play team ball? It can be done, I have seen this happen. Coaches can give a player bench time if the player doesn't want to listen or play as a team, not one on one.

  5. Pendleton county needs to jell as a team before all of the subs are in. You can't take 5 out & put 5 in & keep the starters focused. They are young but they need confidence. Sure any of the players would all look good coming off the bench if they were playing any team's bench give or take a few players. The starters need to shoot more & not be afraid to be benched if they shoot & miss.
