Lloyd has just as tough schedule as HC year in year out, maybe this year HC's might just be a little stronger but not that much. So on that, lets get back to the real topic, the game. I keep hearing that HC's running game is alot stronger than they get credit for. Hey all you HC fans, Jugg fans are going to be tailgating and cooking some food and playing some corn hole. Feel free to come early and grag something to eat. See ya there.
I agree lets get back on the topic, but I still don't see how you can say that when I laid out the facts with them playing three subpar at best 1a teams but I guess we'll agree to disagree.

I would guess based on that statement that Cooper and Holmes would compare to Lex Christian and Beechwood correct? Heck they were only in the state finals last year.
I'm sorry, but until Lloyd gets Bellevue, Dayton, and Ludlow off of their schedule they will never have as tough of one as HC.

The question is can HC's line block well enough to have a pocket passer and for him to be effective? Roenker is no doubt a better passer, but Andy is the best player on the team no matter what position you have him in. Does he make you better at the QB position on a team that doesn't pass the ball much and might not be able to give him the time to drop back and throw, or does he help you by giving you another great runner to go along with Markel? I understand the argument that everyone is making... I'm just thinking from a perspective of what this team's philosphies are. I really don't know which is the better option, but I think the playcalling needs to be adjusted either way.
The line was not the question.. HC's O-line has been a wall the past couple games. if there are sacks the are usually caused by the QB not staying in the pocket.

In fact, after looking at them, I think I'd have to go with HC's schedule as the tougher one.
Holy Cross Schedule
8/29/2008 6:00 PM @ South Laurel L 49-35
9/6/2008 1:30 PM Holmes L 33-7
9/13/2008 7:00 PM Cooper W 55-0
9/27/2008 1:30 PM Newport Catholic L 23-7
10/3/2008 7:30 PM @ Ryle L 34-21
Lloyd's Schedule
8/29/2008 9:00 PM @ Central Hardin L 24-0
9/5/2008 7:00 PM Beechwood L 34-12
9/19/2008 7:30 PM @ Lexington Christian L 36-29
9/26/2008 7:00 PM @ Newport W 27-13
10/3/2008 7:00 PM @ Dayton W 27-6
I rest my case..:thumb:

Wait hold the phones... Stop the press... HC schedule is harder haha You can't be serios!:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
What are you talking about?? You obviously haven't looked at Holy Crosses schedule if you think Lloyd's is so much better. Lloyd has had a tougher schedule this year than in the past, but Holy Cross has still had a tougher one this year just compare the two.

He must really want to get in the college game because he had to take a pay cut.
Thats false.

What do you consider close? They have not been closer than 2 TD's in any of their loses. That is a pretty big margin in high school football. Ryle was able to score 34 with a Soph QB and a Freshman RB. I agree HC should be able to beat Lloyd, but don't think this is going to be a walk in the park like last year. Lloyd was dealing with some pretty serious coaching issues last year. I think they will suprise you.
LLoyd's schedule is no where near what HC has faced. But as mentioned before the record is still ugly. HC has prepared and are a hard nosed team they are more than ready for the Juggs.

I still say why. With Marcel running the option he can still make those moves he is now and still throw the ball. But Roenker isn't the kind of back that jukes out his oppentent much less anyone, he is the back the runs people down and gets those yards needed on 3rd and 3. Marcel as allusive as he is is much m,ore help around the side on a speed opition. Along with Andy still passing the ball by surprise on the half back pass. You can't disagree with me here.
It's not really a secret anymore HC likes to pass with the HB, Roenker is one of those players and he would do just as good at QB as at HB. Markel is gonna make the team more plays on the edge beacause he is more elusive, and you would still have Andy as a threat to scramble. But JMO.

I take back every good thing I've said about CCH this year...

Something we can agree upon HA.

I look for the Juggs to even up their record friday night. As I've said before, Lloyd's first 3 games helped set the tone for district play and a playoff run. They are toughened and ready to play. Good luck to the coaches and players. I hope all the injuries heal fast!!!! By the way, how bad is the injury to the QB?
Holy Cross's schedule is tougher than Lloyd's. Trust me the Holy Cross players will be ready for this game. They're tired of losing close games to much bigger schools and will be more than ready to step on the field on Friday night.

No that's what I was told. That's why I said that is just what I have heard and when I get more information I'll post it, but those are the details that have been given to me.

Julio Jones the kid is so skilled already as a freshman.. You see what he did against experienced DB's when they played UK. TP is good don't get me wrong but JJ is on a whole new level..[/QUOTE]
Pryor is on that same level. Pryor can make plays with his feet and just when you least expect it he makes a nice play with his arm. He isn't the best passer and he takes to long sometimes to make decisions, but to me he has been the best true freshman looking at the situation and everything. It's not easy playing QB at Ohio State, especially as a true freshman..
Believe me TP is not far at all... I just think Julio Jones is a step ahead at this point.. and he should be playing wide out versus TP playing QB.

Micah Johnson would have helped..

They'll win the next two or at least they should, and then they'll be ranked. There is no such thing as a moral victory in sports. You lose, you shouldn't be rewarded for it.
I think a team that is basically starting from scratch on offense and goes into Tuscaloosa in front of 92,000 fans and loses by a FG to the #2 team in the land should be ranked... But then again who am I to say..

You can't ever replace a Brendon Gregory, however junior QB McGuire is more than capable of getting the job done and leading the Juggernauts to a W this week. Besides I don't think Lloyd's D will allow 28 on the board for HC.
Lloyd 21
HC 0
Thats a very bold statement considering HC put up 21 on Ryle, 35 on SL.
HC's offense won't be shut out against Lloyd. HC will come out and wear down the Juggs...

Young Raiders looked great. JV is passing and running well. Any word on the JV player that was also taken to the hospital for Holy Cross?
I have heard that he has something torn in his back don't know much about it but thats what i heard. Although, he was up and moving later that day and actually working the parking for the junior high games that same day.:thumb:

I said it before the season, I said it two weeks ago, I will say it again. Move Roenker to QB and Walker to RB/WR/TE. Spread the field, use the shotgun, let Roenker run the ball, pass the ball. Get the ball into Walker's hands as much as possible. One thing is for sure...1 & 4 is not were you expected to be. This is the perfect time to do it. You have Llyod next, forget about Beechwood, and Newport in a couple of weeks. There is still time to turn this season around and build for next year. If not, things won't be any better next year.
You are singing to the choir my friend.. People on HC boards have been saying this for a long long time. The only passing game was the HB option pass.... Something has got to change.

Rule 13
Ok first off I guess you know nothing about Ryle and South Laurel. South Laurel's quarterback is going for the state passing record for touchdowns and a top 5a team, and Ryle has two losses to NCC and Highlands and are a 6a school. Also if you would look at your FULL schedule you would see that you play Ludlow and Bellevue later in the year which are two subpar 1a teams along with Dayton. The only game on Holy Cross's schedule that is "easy" would be Cooper. After that they only play 4a teams and up along with Beechwood.
