How can he go pro if he is just now graduating from high school?
-
Back on the subject, he met with a coach from Tennessee Tech at Madison Central on Thursday.
-
I think he is waiting to hear more from UK and see if he is going to get offered a scholarship.
I think he is pretty positive they will give him a scholly, and I'm pretty sure they have already offered. According to him BCG had already offered him a scholarship back during the middle of basketball season.

We DID lose to UAB!!!
Sorry, I realized that right after I posted that, I'm just not used to hearing them called that.
-
My starting five would be:
G's Mack and Hood
F's Hopson and Miller
C Phares
I believe you would win a lot of games.:thumb:
-
Anyone notice he said we lost to Alabama-Birmingham? In the article above.
-
Never seen him play so I can't really comment, but good luck to him whatever he does.
-
Vince Clay and Keshawn Simpson from Madison Central should be good players in the 11th next season. They will both be seniors.
-
Everyone should check out the picture of Brandon Jennings from the McDonald's game on Rivals, now I see why he handles the ball so well.:sssh:
-
Did you watch the King of the Bluegrass? The kid was a warrior. He won MVP and won the respect of a sold-out gym. If half of the negative comments like these were steered toward some of the eastern Kentucky players there would be a total meltdown were the poster gets banished and the player gets a full-scale support group.
I saw him in the game against MCHS and he impressed me, I think he had 22 points in 12 minutes of play, he was in foul trouble the whole game. He also took over at the end and won the game for them.

Which is it. You make this statement above and then....
I have no idea, what you're saying now.
Don't worry, it's not just you, I'm lost in his words as well.
-
He is as sorry of a high school player Ive seen. Theres no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Hes just lazy. But you put him in an allstar or an AAU game with very little defense being played his natural ability shines through. He was as athletic and almost as talented as anyone on the floor tonight. It doesn't change the fact that he has a major issue with his game that needs fixing....And its definitly a fixable problem if he so chooses.

Need I say more? Quite possibly on the top 5 most inaccurate statements in BGP history.
-
How in the world did you infer that from seeing a conversation taking place across a room?
What else would they have been talking about?
-
Brandon Jennings is fun to watch too.
And about Monroe, it's kind of hard to tell about him in a game like this, it was all guards running up and down the floor.
BTW, Al-Farouq Aminu started for the East, but did he even get in after that?
-
I really liked watching Tyreke Evans play, Hopson played well too, they didn't give him any minutes though.
-
I would put Scotty Hopson on my All-World Underachieving Team based on the two times I have seen him play.
He does have a wealth of natural talent and I can only hope that he successfully chooses a college where a coach can bring it out of him.
I realize that all americans should impress day in and day out, but everyone has bad games, and honestly, has anyone on here talking about him even seen him play more than just a couple times? You can't judge a player on a couple bad games that you happened to see, especially when (almost) no one on here is getting paid to judge talent, and the guys who are, seem to think he is pretty special.

McDonald All-American, World Select Team, top 10 ranking in the country. Give the award to Miller, I don't believe Hopson would worry about it.
That's exactly how I feel, I think Miller earned the award by all means, but I think Hopson will be a better college and pro player. He's not too worried.
-
He will be in college 1 year and out to the NBA.
That's what I think. Unless he doesn't do that great his first year, but that's definitely what he wants.
-
Just curious...How does he seem like a thug?
All I meant by that was his slang talk, you can barely understand what he is saying. I hope he comes to UK as much as anyone though.
-
I work in the Pro Shop at a golf course, so golf shirt and shorts for me.
-
Yep, he's just telling it like it is.
-
^
I really would think he would pick Tennessee. He likes the run and gun style.
And from his interviews he kind of seems like a thug, he'd fit in perfect Tennessee, he will have to start wearing a white head band though.:lol:
-
For everyone that doesn't want him at UK, if he doesn't work hard enough, he won't play, look at Crawford at the beginning of the year, so he won't hurt the team, he could only help us, and I think we can all agree that he COULD help us.

Hopson made the finals, but missed both dunks to finish 3rd. Sounds like a snoozer as westsider expected...
Where did you get that? Did you get to see it?
