  1. Although single A players havent been getting great hype on here, Hayden From LCA will be one of the, if not the best RB in the state. The kid is squating 600, cleaning 365, and benching 345, AS A RB! This young man doesnt have speed that will dazzle you but he is quick and can turn it up when he has to. He reminds me of Ron Dane or Jones-Drew. DI player.

  2. If Catholic comes out with intensity in their press and they knock down three's this will be a very interesting game. Sanford should have a good game and if Botkin or Martin for Catholic play a really good game as well I see that as beating Holmes. LC beat a SC team IMO with the one of the best athletic guards in the state Guynn and DI recruit in Jackson, Euton and that young kid thats getting all the hype. But that being said no doubt Holmes is the favorite and the odds favorite. If they play a good game they should win but watch out Catholic has beaten very good, athletic teams.

  3. Defense!!!!! They Will bring back three of the top 10 players at their position in the state. Witt at QB, Hayden a RB and Burdett at WR. They lost some linemen if I am not mistaken so they will have a core of position players but will need to develop some of their younger kids.

  4. Dont let high costs be a reason for transferring...the KHSAA doesnt want to hear it....similar situation with a boy from LCA transferring out and he was rulled inelgible at all levels. Guess this young lady can count on losing this year of elgibility!

If we are thinking of the boy I am not sure if was necessarily for monetary purposes. Mitchells family doesnt have a whole lot of money, but i do believe she gets to play her senior year. She has a much needed scholorship to Illinois to play for.

  5. LCA should be pre-season number #1. They got back all of their position players, which they happen to all be juniors. LCA also picks up a senior, who is possibly the best athlete in the school, he was all-city basketball, and started shortstop in baseball. A beast in the weight room and loves to hit. I dont see LCA loosing a game in single A play. Assuming they make it deep in the playoffs, I believe only Beechwood and Hazard could give them a run for their money. I also understand LCA recieved a transfer from Hazard. Any word with that?

  6. This is a little early for this thread but who in your mind is the favorite going into the 2009 season?

I will say LCA, they return pretty much every player from last years team. This is a team that includes 3 senior DI players and a junior DI player. If they can find solid point guard play they should be a cut above everyone in hte state. Focus should also be a key for them because they were so succesful at a young age.
