  1. Nerl can and does do it all.He will be the most complete player on the floor. He's as good under the rim as away from it. He may not score the most points for the Camels tonight simply because their offence is so balanced this year he doen't need to.Earles vs Albrecht could be a deciding factor in this game. Albrecht isn't flashy but is solid down low and his defence seems to be improving.Win or lose C.C.should earn some respect tonight.

Just not in the Mason Co. St. X game?

I don't consider Mason Co.a N.Ky team.Just like in football ,when N.ky.teams play Ohio teams who usually wins? In the history of Ky high school basketball how many N.Ky.teams have won the title? I think its one.Other than Holmes there are no teams that could match up with Cincy's better teams.

  3. Mason Co played poorly .No way this team wins the tenth region.Sloppy passing, poor three point shooting.Once they decided to play in the fourth quarter the Eagles didn't answer the challenge. You kind of had the feeling Mason Co only plays when they have to.Eagles will be plucked by the Crusaders today by 25.

  4. CCHS has more talent, but Brossart always comes with more heart. CCHS should win this game, but I'm going with the Mustangs.

    51-48.

After having their hearts broken in last years district final I think the Camels learned a valuable lesson.Take one game at a time and underestimate no one. They are committed to proving they are the team to beat in the 37th.Their hearts have healed and B.B.is in for a good thrashing. Camels by 20.

  5. Who knows if Rebholz and or Geiman would've been varsity ready. The big bench man missing that would've been helpful is senior Matt Coffman. Ever since 6th grade he was name of Senior class with Nerl. But no doubt, the starting 5 can compete with absoutely any in NKY! The bench is just a huge question. Geiman looks quick. Smith, Losey, Neises not sure what they can do with all 3. And not sure what Wolf will bring. Joe Franzen is boy who needs to get ready for Varsity level.

Very sorry to see Matt Coffman not come out for the team. I'm sure he would have been the sixth man and gotten a lot of playing time.Situations change quickly in high school ball.Kids that were the stars in jr. high don,t always progress to the next level for whatever reason.Matt always gave 100% even as his role on last years team deminished. His hard nosed style of play will be missed as the year grinds on.

  6. With Mason losing to HHS, I believe that the Camels are in the mix for the region.

No doubt the Camels have a starting five that can play with anyone. The question is whether their bench is deep enough to withstand a long, hard, foul prone game. One of the seniors will have to step and be the leader for this team.Is there one who has the personality to do this? Camels didn't seem to have one last year and it cost them in games where they blew leads in the final seconds. Somebody has to calm the team when things are going south. The coach can only do so much when it comes to a team mental state.Second year coaches usually struggle with this aspect of the game.

  7. Campbell Co started slow but Nerl started raining threes and Albrecht took over under the basket.Junior Brady Jolly in his first varsity start showed the future looks bright with 16 points.Ben Franzen looking strong around the rim added 10. Jorden Smith also with his first varsity start at point guard hit a three and drove well to the basket to add 11. Geiman contributed 2 points.Nerl finished with 18 and Albrecht had 21.While the game went as expected C.C. showed all starters are a scoring threat and can score inside and out. Pendleton Co. is sorely lacking in height but certainly made up for it with heart. They sure can hit the threes and worked hard around the rim. Expect them to upset some decent teams this year. Pendleton Co. always turns out a good crowd. They sure support their team.

  8. Campbell Countys Nerl and Albrecht have to be two of the top players in the tenth. As juniors they averaged 14 p.p.g. Ben Franzen should also be considered with an average of over 10 p.p.g. Nerl and Albrecht should play better together this year after playing together this summer for the first time.

  9. It seems since missing those free throws against Mason Co. Nerl has absolutely exploded. Always a good shooter , the last three games he's been great. He had to have at least thirty in a row from the foul line. Talk about nailing the threes.I don't know if he kicked up the practice time or what but whatever he's done I hope he keeps it up . Hang on Camel fans Stewie thinks Pat is just getting started. Lets not forget Parks. His ball handling improved greatly in this game and added eight points. Thats sixteen in the last two games for our point guard. If the Camels continue to play like this they will finish way above five hundred.

  10. I'm a Camel fan all the way, but it was a thrill to see Darius and his boys play Tuesday night. Players like him don't come along very often in our neck of the woods. It's worth the trip to see him play. The best four dollars I've spent in a long time. Our boys were out-matched but it should help us Friday when Scott comes to the Desert.

  11. Comments like big ogre hands are offensive and I haven't seen you criticize anyone by name except for Albrecht. Then you insult his mental capacity by wondering if he knows he has only one foot he can use as a pivot. There's a big difference between criticizing and insulting someone and you don't appear to know that. I wonder if you would repeat any of your helpful observations to his face. I really doubt it.
