  1. The transfers occur all over the state. Scott co. has been specifically mentioned in this thread, but there are transfers occuring everywhere. I know there has to be some control I suppose (not sure how it should be done), but to rule kids ineligible to play, IMO, only hurts KY basketball. Better competition only improves the over all quality of KY basketball. And, KY IS the basketball capital of the WORLD. Where else is there a basketball goal in virturally every backyard!!!!! Speaking of HONOR, it's all relative.

  2. DS 16s went 3-2 in Vegas, losing in the tournament in an OT game to New Heights, who is the premier team in NY and Jayvaughn Pinkston (UL and UK both looking at him) plays on the New Heights team. DS 16s had the game won and then New Heights tied in regulation on a last second shot. DS16s were down to 7 players for the game and ended the game with 4 on the floor due to 2 fouling out and 1 out with an ankle injury . The guys showed a lot of heart. But they were spent for the OT. New Heights went on the be the runner up in the tournament.

  3. I've been told Mr. Euton is NOT employed at Toyotta, but with an Engineering firm in Lexington. And, he did lose his job in the Ashland area. ALso was told from a reliable source that the news media totally misreprested what Mr. Euton said. Also, if kids can chose a school for academic reasons, i.e. performing arts, science and techonolgy, etc, etc,, in order to increase their chances of receiving a college scholarship, then what is the difference in doing so with Athletics as well. Parents want to do what they feel is best for the future of their child. I have mixed feelings about these types of situations, I can see both sides of these situations. Also, Scott Co is not the only county where these situations are occuring. In my opinion, if they are NOT ruled eligible, then the KHSAA will have to rule EVERY athlete who transferred or moved since the last season as ineligible. If they are not ruled eligible, then I think it is basketball in the state of KY that suffers. We need to keep as many quality players in KY as possible. If they are not allowed to play, it only decreases the quality of competition in KY, which is not good for basketball as a whole.

  4. Give Gallatin credit for this. Their defense swarmed the perimeter players and made the entry passes difficult. I am not sure Shelton worked hard to get the ball either.

Good luck to both of these clubs in the regional.

Well Shelton was diagnosed with bronchitis earlier in the week, so he has been playing sick.
