I am pretty sure that they live in the Ryle District. Only went to Walton becasue that is where her Dad and mom both attended school
-
I am not 100% positive but I believe that where they live is considered Ryle district. One side of the Road is Walton and one side is Ryle. Maybe??

I beleive that Coach Sullivan was a teacher and the Varsity Assistant coach for the boys and was offered the Assistant Principal job at Walton and said that he would take it as long as he could still coach and they said that was fine. He filled ALL of his responsabilities as an Assistant Principal, meetings, going to all athletic events, he went above and beyond what most people in the Administration do. A couple of people complained and they told him that he could not coach anymore. SHAME on the administration! IMO he is the BEST coach in the system.
Is there double standards? YES. Coach Hartman (Very good man) should not be allowed to coach. Why is it different? It is not. If they hired the best person for the job and that person was interested it would be Dan Sullivan.
-
:thumb:I'm almost positive that the reason he isn't in coaching is because of the fact that he is in the administration, they don't allow both at Walton. On the other hand I have heard several rumors surrounding him saying he may be heading to a different school to get back into coaching.:sssh: That is if we are talking about the same person.
I hope that is not true. That would be a huge blow to all of basketball both boys and girls if this gentlemen left. If I were the Admin @ Walton he would get what ever he wanted. HE IS THE REASON that the feeder program Walton has is so successful:thumb:

Hey, looks like Madman has a "brand new song and dance":dancingpa
GO WILDCATS:thumb: If my W-V Bearcats can't be there you gotta pull for the little guy:thumb:
Good luck against Shelby. I know coach Jones will have them ready to play.
Maddox scores 24, Regional Tourny MVP. Gallatin wins by 10. :thumb:
Mark it down as it is GOSPEL BABY!!!!
Load up the wagons in SAWVILLE and Lexington get ready.. YEE HAW

Congrats to SL and Coach Wright.
I watched the game on Wazoo sports and I was pretty nervous when SL was down by 13 in the 4th.
Corbin could just not handle the pressure with 2 many rushed shots and turnovers. Great job SL. See ya at RUPP ARENA:thumb:

He (Sandlin) is top of the three officials in the 8th. All the rest should RETIRE!!!!:thumb:
-
Is there radio coverage of this game. I know that during the tournament over Christmas I watched a game over the internet. Is any of that happening for the regional tourny?
-
Being a former player for Coach Wright when he was in Northern Kentucky, I look forward to seeing him at the Sweet 16 this year and I will be cheering for the Cardinals. South by 12. :thumb:
-
I hope Gallatin drills them by 30:thumb:

Maybe they shouldn't bring the correct ones. Best game they played all year wearing Maroon, White, Black, Green,:lol::banana::dancingpa:lol:

GC by 11. Good luck and hope to see you guys at RUPP ARENA:D

Coach Bennett is not like that as everyone should know. Sometimes too nice of a guy. IF I were the coach we would have started the game on time, shot a few free throws to begin the game.
-
The game was delayed getting started last night because NO brought the wrong uniforms. For how many years has it been that the District winner plays the District loser in the first round of the Regional. THE DISTRICT WINNER IS THE HOME TEAM (most of the time that is the WHITE uniforms).:lol::lol::dancingpa[/quote
That might be the best game Henry County played all year.
:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Good Luck GC. Hope that one of the small schools can make it to the big dance.

Congrats to the Bearcats.
IMO there was some selfish play by some players in the 2nd half that led to their down fall. Officiating was pretty bad (Asher, Comacho) Sandlin did a nice job as always. IMO best official in the 8th.
That did not decide the outcome of the game.
Sometimes you just have to dig down and try to find a little something extra and it just was not there. Walton has a great group of younger kids coming up through the ranks. Good luck to the Seniors.
Good luck to GC.
Make sure that you bring both uniforms when you play NO.:lol::lol:

If Watkins is an official you can bet that there are going to be some HORRID calls. :thumb: So many coach's have scratched him I don't see how he can be an official at any games. Just Amazing.

Next year, my station will be covering, but not this year. Another outlet is doing a webcast.
Will you be doing the 8th region?
-
I have to disagree with you on T.Jones. I think that J.Jones is a nice player, but i believe that T.Jones played his position better than J.Jones played his. T.Jones helped direct his team to a 22 win season.
I am not downing Taylor. He is a good player but I feel that Josh is a better all round player. Josh is much bigger scoring threat. If Gallatin would have had Josh instead of Taylor? How many more games could they have won or lost for that matter.
-
They are a good group of kids. IMO they underachieved this year. They had some close games that they just could not close on. You could make a case for P. Ponzer as well but his attitude sometimes sends him backwards!
Kirk had some really nice games as well.:thumb:

Dustin is a great kid and the we wishes him all the success in the world. He does need to slow down sometimes when pulling in the street!:laugh::laugh::dancingpa:banana::dancingpa

Can the W-V girls come together one more time for another UPSET win?:scared:
W-V by 3. (Last second shot):sssh::eek:

Agree with most of the list.
I do think that Josh Jones of Walton should be on that list but not everyone can make it. Also, I would not look for Walton to be scheduling anymore teams that are any further away than what they already travel. I also agree that this hurts the kids chances of getting the props that they deserve in the 8th region. (Jones is better than Sharp and T. Jones):thumb:

Congrats to the Lady Vikings. Coach Clinkenbeard and Coach Slavey do a great, great job with their respected programs. That includes boys and girls basketball. I am sure that there is just as much talent in FL and there was in MN. Who wants to go to MN on vacation anyway. And UNC-5 just be happy for some KIDS who worked and played hard and WON A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! Weather it be AAU OR YBOA.
