I have a hard time envisioning that too indian71...Ashland averages 28 points a game overall, but against teams which have some form of effective defense, they can only muster 11. Offensively, the Tomcats had a nice game last weekend with an impressive ground attack, but once again, I think the Ashland Defense will be the difference maker. Props to Coach Love and crew I have a hard time envisioning that too indian71...Ashland averages 28 points a game overall, but against teams which have some form of effective defense, they can only muster 11. This game will come down to who shows up to play.

  2. I believe that JC had something to do with those 5 INT's. It wasnt like Curtis was just sitting back there and threw a bad ball. JC had pressure up in his face all night and forced him to throw under pressure. I havent had a chance to see the freshman QB now in place but I expect much of the same, trying to put pressure on him and force him to make decisions an inexperienced Freshman would make.

With that said, JC cant come in overlooking this game thinking that cause they beat Montgomery Co. earlier in the season that its a shew in. If so they'll be in a battle for there lives like there were last season when they played Ashland. I expect JC to be focused on the task at hand and come out at the beginning of the game ready to play. My prediction:

    Johnson Central: 35

    Montgomery Co.: 14

Curtis broke his thumb in the third quarter. I don't know of to many QB's that throw a good pass with a broken thumb, one of the passes was 15 yds away from the WR on a 30yd pass. MC 28 JC 14. Indian 71 goes 2 for 2.

  3. Matney has his Eagles right where he wants them, hosting another playoff game and with a very good shot at the State Semi-Finals.

JC's defense has been less than stellar the past cuple weeks, ift he Eagle's can get their defense back ont rack, I see the taking this game simialr to the first meeting. Somewhere in the 2TD range.

No way MC threw 4 Int's in the last meeting and the new QB is accurate. MC Def is to healthy, they shut Grimm down to 69 yards last game. This one goes to the wire and for the Eagles sake not down to field goals.

  4. Well I wouldnt go as far as to say they would be unstopable. I thought there lined played pretty well against JC, but turnovers has taken them out of alot of close games. Their defensive front 7 is solid, and in order for them to beat Woodford, they need to have a great game putting pressure on Duckworth to throw his timing off with his recievers. IMO Duckworth is what makes this offense go, if you shut him down, then you can have alot of success against WC.

Woodford's best player and go-to WR and DB Lewis quit the team, without him I think Woodford's skill position drops. Lewis 40 receptions for 643 yards 5td.

  5. Woodford Co 42

    Montgomery 20

Way off. MC is to healthy and Def is to strong. The three games they lost were because of int's the new QB is accurate. MC vs WOODFORD 7-0 at the half 3 int's in second. MC vs JC 7-6 at the half 4 int's in second. MC vs BRYAN STATION 7-7 at the half 5 int's.If MC had five players to switch on the line they would be unstopable. Heart wins this one 21-14 MC upsets the #1 seed.

  6. Hey Indian71,did you here about Curtis being moved to rb?Coach Gooch said that the Indians were going to become a running team.Hmm.i thought they already were.Well the move will work against our next two weak opponents(Madison Southern,Rowan Co.)but will blow up against Woodford Co. in the playoffs.

I heard a rumor that Curtis broke his hand or thumb in the 3rd quarter of the game.

  7. Congrats Eagle fans on the win last night. The Indians just dont have the offensive coaching to stay with good teams like Johnson Central. We've become a one trick pony(Curtis trying to run the ball all the time)that we havent taken time to develope our passing game, even though we got good wideouts, against an easy schedule.Indians 1 and done.Good luck rest of the way Eagles.

I think Gooch has done a good job coaching we just don't have a tall enough QB.

  8. The paris coach thought he had alot of motivation just got out of control as of being close 22 dressed out For Paris 5 of Montgomery starting offense never left the game one being the QB hes like a football machine I havent seen one team he hasnt averaged 100 yards rushing or more this year or last.
