Just how does that work that you can live in town and go where you want but can't live in the county and go to the city unless approved? I'm not real clear on that. Are you?You want to open THAT can of worms? With all the recruiting that has gone on at Somerset over the years? Kids have transferred from school to school in this county for decades. Always has happened, always will. Pulaski has ZERO kids that should be at Somerset. Yes, they have some kids that went to middle school in the city but came to Pulaski once high school started. By living in the city, you have a CHOICE of what school you go to. You are not "supposed" to be at Somerset. If you were to send every kid to the school they were "supposed" to be at, all schools in this town would be dramatically different. I have no problem with this year's recruiting class at SW. Steve Wright and his staff have been on the road and just seem to be outworking the other schools in town. -
Which PC player was involved? A big deal is being made about the transfers for SW. How many does PC have that should be at Somerset and how many were they unsuccessful at getting but did try to get? Not much difference in my opinion.Marlow was ejected due to kick in groin from Pulaski Player its on film -
Can't really tell if they don't like Somerset, Pulaski, or just 47th in general. Definitely grumpy.:lol:No doubt. Somebody is grumpy today.

It was played at Pulaski.Yeah Purple Pride looks like Pulaski is living up to their preseason expectations now. With a win over one of the states best teams the sky is the limit. How could the refs not help the hometeam BJ's win this one. After all they helped Clinton County. At 8-7 they are on there way:rolleyes: -
Well, the girls beat Rock too. I don't think anyone was trying to impress anyone, especially you, by simply posting a score.Man this is just great. District 47 is just a brutal district one of the best in the region. A win over Rock basketball is very impressive if it was thier girls team. -
Was played at Pulaski. Does that explain anything any better?

HC...Holy Cross. We can read down here in Trailer City as we were called by some HC fans. This was adults yelling at the players on their way out. Wonder how many of them have ancestors from south Kentucky. I know I said I was done before, I am now. Just wanted to clarify that we can read...trailer trash and all.You do know that Newport and HC are the same colors?? -
Large group, Holy Cross attire, I'm done.I think grouping all fans with a small group of misbehaving people is not right. Most Holy Cross fans that I know are good people who respect other teams and are excited to be in the finals for the first time. As you can pick up just from reading posts on here there were many people there just watching the game and maybe cheering for HC because they are local, but not "Holy Cross fans" per se. Maybe it was them, maybe it was random people who knows but stereotyping an entire fan base that you obviously don't know in inappropriate. It would be like saying all people from Somerset commit personal fouls or try to take out players from other teams. Once again a few do not represent the whole. -
The way HC is playing, they should win. I am hoping Glasgow has improved too. I'll be pulling for the Scotties. A public school and much nicer fans.

This was without a doubt the worst fan behavior I have ever witnessed by a winning team. If I hadn't heard them myself, I wouldn't have believed it. Adults saying some terrible things to kids. Why was it necessary? The game was over. I totally disagree with blaming the coach for the personal foul situation. I do question why a coach with that big of a lead and a state final at stake would leave his starters in and risk someone getting hurt or ejected for as long as he did. The game is over. HC advances. HC fans are really bad. Enough said.

Holy Cross has a nice team. Not sure who will win next week but after what some of the Holy Cross fans were saying after the game I'll have to pull for Glasgow. It's bad when you can't walk out of a place with your mouth shut without being harassed. And they were adults too.

Actually the score was 37-6.
-
Halftime 49-0
-
I posted that a little too soon. 35-0.
-
Somerset up 28-0. Eight minutes to go in second quarter.
-
I heard he might be headed to McCreary County. Is that what you heard?
-
Actually Lexington Christian and Danville are about two hours plus from Middlesboro and Leslie County. That's a long way for a district game.

I wasn't aware that team bashing was allowed on here. Why was such a thread like this ever allowed to stay on here this long? It serves no useful purpose and nothing will ever be settled by it. I don't understand the necessity of having this thread. It needs to be closed.

Bowling Green leads 25-0. 4 minutes till halftime.
-
Good luck to the Jumpers! It would be nice to finish the season perfect. I see this as a high scoring game with the Jumpers winning 48-35. See you in Bowling Green!!
Then why did you pick PT in the poll?

It will be about a seven dollar cab. You'll need to eat while downtown because there's not that much close to the Hutton. Sommet Center is on corner of Broadway and Fourth St. Within yelling distance of Tootsies. Roberts Western World has the best musicans on Broadway. Jack's Barbeque and Rippy's are good places to eat. Demos' Steak and Spaghetti House is economical and very good. The Renaissance, The Hilton, and Hampton Downtown are the closest to Sommet Center. Hope this is helpful.I google mapped it and it is only 1 mile from the Sommet Center. That is really my biggest priority over the bars and other attractions. I figured a $5 cab ride would be well worth it. -
I can't help but question going for two instead of kicking. There seems to be a lack of defense one PC team.

Somerset won. I think the final was 60-9.
