Three Kentucky teams will be participating in the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic at Southern State Community College in Hillsboro, Ohio. All three play on Saturday, Dec. 3. Cooper plays Mason High School at 12 noon. Kentucky Country Day plays Blanchester at 1:45 and Fern Creek takes on Dayton Chaminade Julienne at 3:30. Guys I am seeking some input from you. I help organize a boys varsity showcase basketball event; The Ohio Valley Hoops Classic which will be Dec. 2, 3, and 4 next year. We seek the top high school teams (no prep schools) that we can get from Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky and then try to create the best matchups we can. We also include some of our local teams. This will be our third year. In the first two years we have had some pretty good teams including: Indianapolis Park Tudor, Cleveland East Tech, Lorain, Pickerington Central, Dayton Dunbar, Lakota East, Mason, Wilmington, Newark, and from Kentucky, Lexington Catholic and Campbell County. We are in the process of recruiting teams for next year's event. I know you guys watch a lot of ball, and sometimes you are more knowledgeable than the so-called recruiting experts,so I would welcome your input as to any Kentucky teams or elite players that you think we should go after. Our event is regular season games, but I see you are correct. In 2015-16 KY cannot start until 11/30. We have our event coincide with the first weekend of the season here in Ohio. Most years, Kentucky starts earlier, but not next year. Well, I guess we will have no KY teams in our event next year. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I do appreciate those of you who had responded.

Guys, I help put together the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic in Wilmington, OH. We are in the process of targeting teams for next year's event, which will be on Thanksgiving weekend. We shoot for the top teams, regardless of size or classification, then try to create good matchups. (Our schedule for this year is in another thread). We obviously are also looking for marque type players. This year we have Lex. Cath. and Campbell County as our only Kentucky teams. We would like to get a few more for next year. I know a lot of you see more Kentucky kids play than I get to see. I would appreciate your thoughts on top teams/players in KY. We can provide them matchups with some top teams here in Ohio. Thanks guys, and I really enjoy reading some of the stuff on this site. It is obvious that some of you are true high school basketball fans!

Lexington Catholic and Campbell County are playing in a showcase basketball event at Wilmington College in Wilmington, OH Lex. Cath. plays Wilmington High School at 8:45 on Friday Dec. 5, and they play Chaminade Julienne at 5:30 on Saturday Dec. 6. Campbell County plays Chillicothe at 10:30 on Sat., Dec. 6 Google the website at Ohio Valley Hoops Classic to see a full schedule. They have an impressive list of teams, especially on Friday night and Saturday.
