  1. I got the answer to the question I posted above and was very disappointed in what I heard. You have to wonder why a coach would waste the talents of one of the best defensive players on the team only to sit him on the bench. What a disservice to this young man.
  2. Is Newport Central Catholic’s junior Nate Enslen still recovering from football injuries like teammate Brandon Grey? I know the season just started, but heard he hasn’t seen much of the field. I understand Grey is out due to shoulder surgery and I know Enslen was also injured during the football season, but after hearing this I now wonder if he is back to 100% and ready to play baseball for the Breds? If he is healthy, Enslen has the right tools that make him a well rounded player, the way he tracks the ball both on the football and baseball fields, not to mention his speed are two natural abilities you just can’t teach. He turned into a very good WR/DB for the NewCath football team last season and from what I’ve seen through the years he’s an even better baseball player and will be an asset to the team. The kid can play pretty much any position you put him in on the baseball field. It would be a real shame for NCC baseball to not have at least one of these two back to being healthy and out on the field this spring. Good luck to the Breds this season.
