Fletch Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 It just seems this way year after year. Right?
katbird Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Because they all go to Trinity and St. X...LOL
ThrillVille Cardinal51 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Why don't we just start the thread "why is everyone other than T, X, Highlands, Beechwood, NCC and a few others so average?"
rockmom Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Well, the only 2 5A schools in Louisville are Iroquois and J-Town. J-Town is most definitely a basketball school. I don't know why they don't really put forth the same effort and support into their football program. Iroquis is a whole 'nother can of worms. It's one of the most culturally diverse schools in the city, being located near, and the resides school for, a very significant population of resettled refuges and recent immigrants from conutries where football simply isn't even a sport...it's futbal. Other factors include a challenged school due to the number of ESL students, ratio of students well below the poverty line and the school struggles to meet the state guidelines for academic progress. The adminstration and teachers are in turmoil right now, and I think that football is likely the least of their concerns. As to 4A Atherton-honestly a good academic school, not much of a sports school Waggener-Probably the first public school that is likely to be affected by Trinity the most. It's located right in of St. Matthews only blocks away. But from conversations I've had with graduates, not much school pride In varying degrees the next four faces issues similar to Iroquois in 5A-Doss, Fairdale, Moore, Valley Western-actually having a good year Just my thoughts to try and offer some legitimate insight and not just continue the mud-slinging.
