Cov Cath still has 3 weeks and 3 games between now and the Highlands game. Gametime experience is priceless and can be very galvanizing, and no doubt they're focusing on their defense as much as ever right now. Being at home against Highlands could prove to be a bit more of an advantage for the Colonels than some may realize too. I don't think it'll exactly be a "game changer", but it's certainly not going to hurt them.

I'll also go on record saying that I think this will be the first time in four years that Cov Cath and Highlands will play each other twice in the same year.

Maybe in your eyes.

Some things to consider; CCH hasn't beaten the Birds since 06'. Last year, they almost tasted it. The 1st game will be in their house. Strange things happen when these two get together. If Highlands eeks out a win in a few weeks, IMO it would give the advantage at the 2nd meeting to CCH as far as desire is concerned. It would give CCH confidence that they can play with the Birds.

Why do you fret so much over games down the road? Both teams will focus on their next opponents, and when HHS/CovCath week gets here, they will prepare to play each other.

Sure, I understand. Just wondering, I guess. I'm a very introspective guy.
