Lawnboy13
Besides Bellevue High School's 3rd year kicker Kaitlyn Dill (father is a former NewCath player), Dayton High School has debuted Nicole Schowalter this season. I understand the possible dangers with these young ladies possibly taking a hit, but they only kick extra points. Both these young ladies are soccer players, so are there anymore schools out there that currently have a female kicker taking care of extra point duties? Whats your feeling about this????? uk#1fan
Does she get to play when not injured? I have no idea I seen her on the sideline during their scrimmage. She is on their roster though she is only a sophomore. She plays RB/LB not WR/DB she is only 5'4 125 pounds.

I don't know exactly what my opinion is on girls playing football, but Nicole played on my daughter's soccer team a few years back, and I can tell you she is one heck of an athlete. Clyde
I've seen one girl and one girl only that I would not be concerned with on the football field. The younger sister of current New York Jets center Nick Mangold played OL for Kettering Alter a few years ago. If anyone has seen her you know you don't have to worry about her. She is working on an Olympic bid. http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/index.ssf/2010/05/nick_mangolds_girly-girl_siste.html
Devils74
Nicole is 3/5 kicking PAT's. 2/4 in the scrimmage and 1/2 in the Holy Cross game. She will be fine and yes she is one heck of an athlete.

WhoozYoDaddy
Wouldn't that make her 3 for 6? 50% on PAT's is not a very high standard. Devils74
It's better than last year. The few times Dayton did score they went for 2.

NCCDHS
Considering Nicole just started kicking a couple of weeks ago (one practice prior to preseason game), isn't 50% respectful? Many baseball players would love to have a .500 batting score. My guess many newcomers are happy with 50%.

Kudos to the young lady for being on the team. It sounds like she is a better option than they had last year (assuming they didn't convert a high % of their 2 pt conversions). However, 50% is not a good rate. In her defense it's only 6 kicks so that % can go up and go up quickly with some success in the next couple of games. To be fair to her and to treat her as a football player we have to look at final results. 50% is not good enough.
