I know multiple contacts are allowed on first hit over the net, but is prolonged contact ever allowed?

There is not a violation for multiple contacts on the first hit, but prolonged contact (lift) should be called. I think this is ignored far too often.

I agree. This is something that often ignored and ref's do not call consistantly.
