mcpapa
Maybe it needed to go with that half-billion dollar school in California. It's gonna take a lot of bake sales to get back in the black.
Watusi
I read about that in a business article recently about why cities are going broke. Here is an artists rendition of the proposed stadium .
FC
They say everything is bigger in Texas and in Texas high school football is king.
mexitucky
Just b/c you can doesn't mean that you should. Does a school really need a field like that.
PepRock01
Just b/c you can doesn't mean that you should. Does a school really need a field like that. Considering they can't handle the current capacity of people who want to attend games I think they are well within their rights to build a stadium this big. Clyde
We always say that we should let communities decide what's best for them. So.... By the way, this article has appeared in USA Today for something like the last 5 to 10 years.

FC
If they are already renting bleachers to hold 7,000 in addition to the 7,000 seat current stadium, I would say it is as much supply and demand as anything.
PSJ
growing up in texas - our district had pooled their funds and had built a 8,000 seat turf field. Games would be scheduled on thurs / fri / sat nights. Not sure why schools in northern Kentucky or around state do not attempt / consider to do same. ( I am not aware of any) Of course, does not have to be near as big - but build a nice facility - have the schools pool their funds and use the field on thurs / fri / sat nights. between bye weeks / road games during non district play it worked out great. Share revenue and use for other venues as well. Not sure if state would consider helping on something like this either
