The Good:The power hitting of the Colonels batters: Klein and Stayton each 2 Doubles, Gerwe and Severson 1 Double each and Siemer a huge HR!

Some outstanding relief pitching from Shumate and Serverson and again a "D' that made the plays.

The Bad and Ugly: I have to say not having a working score board and the man in blue behind the plate not giving the account enough to the players and fans alike. Really a shame to play such important games where there is no working score board.

Pee Wee's Place Offensive play of the game: Score 2-0 CovCath! In bottom of the second inning and CovCath number nine batter Logan Siemer at the plate and on a 1-0 count Logan hits a rocket that I knew was a HR as soon as it left his bat. For Siemer it was his second HR of the season (327) and hen your number nine batter does that, it has to put a arrow into the heart of the other team. CovCath however wasn't through. Reese walks but get thrown out at second by a nice throw by Jessen. One out, no one one. Warning gets walked and Klein hits a double to knock in Warning to make the score now 4-0 CovCath. Nienaber CR for Klein and scores on Stayton Double to make it 5-0. After a WP to Lankheit Staayton moves to third when Jake lifts a SF to right field to score a run and make the score 6-0 after two innings.

BAWAC Inc. Defensive play of the game: Four plays, all by CovCath.

Holmes First inning and with two outs Wells hits a hard ground ball that looks like a sure single but Logan Siemer dives at the ball, stops it and then throws the runner out at first.

Holmes Fourth inning and with two outs and a many on first base Brady Reese comes in a steals a sure single from Poe. It was a calculated play by Brady that if he hadn't made the catch could have gone for at least a double and maybe a triple but he calculated correctly and made the diving catch to end the inning and added another arrow into the hearts of the Bulldogs.

Holmes Top of the fifth: Holmes has just scored two runs and there are no outs, when Shumate picks off Long off second base for the first out of the inning. Then with Wells on third, Shumate picks him off third for the second out prior to getting Gregory to go U-6 to Stein. Baseball fans you tell me, how many times you have seen a pitcher pick off two runners off the bases, and neither is off first base, in the same inning? Me? that is the first time I have seen it done!

Grubers Grill stars of the game: Siemer, Klein and Stayton due to their sticks, Gerwe, Shumate and Severson on the hump and Reese "D"!
