Fort Campbell will start the season off with a tough Tennessee team in Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA) out of Nashville. CPA is ranked 6th in Tennessee’s 3A preseason polls behind Alcoa and Milan.

Fort Campbell’s defense was impressive in last week’s scrimmage and the offense seems ready to pick up where they left off last year.

An interesting note about CPA is that Jeff Fisher’s son, Trent, is an outstanding DB for CPA .

This CPA team will be playing host to Lexington Christian next weekend. They're getting any shot at beating the preseason favorite in 2A and one of the favorites in 1A.

I don't think CPA will be undisciplined, most private schools provide a pretty structured environment. CPA has a decent QB, a receiver with some size, & Titan's Coach Jeff Fisher's son as a DB, (is he good or does he just have a last name??). I expect them to be fundamentally sound, but too slow to keep up with the Falcons.

FC is not only pretty decent at football, but most of the football players made up the track team which won the KY state track championship this past Memorial Day weekend in Louisville. Documented burners, not just hype about being fast.

Ft. Campbell gets its first of three wins this season against Tennessee teams.

I have to go with the falcons! The 325 students enrolled leaves me a little wondering about a powerhouse team capable of stopping the probable 2a state repeat. I understand that that number is all boys, but still, we are talking about FC Falcons.

Agreed on the "undisciplined" front. Fort Campbell's other two Tennessee opponents will be more undisciplined - relatively that is - than CPA. Pearl-Cohn (third FCHS opponent this year) always has great athletes but has been very penalty-prone over the years. Pearl-Cohn's last title was in 1997, when they went 14-1, beating Maryville in the title game. There were many future SEC stars on that very fast, large team, notably Santonio Beard (Alabama) and John Henderson (UT, and now with Jacksonville in the NFL), but their one blemish came to a very disciplined team - MBA. MBA was good that year but lost in its title game and was 9-3 overall.

I am not sure how good the younger Fisher is, but his older brother was a good DB at CPA and played at Montana. He bulked up there (elk meat, I guess) and became a good linebacker for the Griz, who lost in the I-AA title game to Richmond this past season. My guess is the younger Fisher has at least some talent.

I am interested in seeing Josh Carter's replacements on the Falcon Defense. I think the Falcon speed will overcome the Lions and win a hard fought season opener. Falcons by 12.

There is a replacement, 6'3" 245lbs., and Nasty. He spent some time eating Christian County RBs in the backfield last Friday. No free scouting report here, just come and see for your self. #54

#46 Is one to look out for, too. He's not that big but he's a "thinking" player.
