Anyone attend the CAMELS scrimmages on Friday night? I heard they ended up going went 1&1 on the night…..Kidwell (QB) only played the 1st game as he had to get some stitches on his forehead.

Any comments on how the CAMELS and Bellevue looked would be appreciated.

They also played Bryan station. I thought they played ok, still have some kinks to iron out. They have the tallent to go deep into the playoffs this year, it's going to depend on if they can do the little things that good football teams do. They hav'nt that i've seen yet geld together. I've noticed some walking on the field and that's not how you are suppose to play this game. I hope it all comes together for them soon because it's not going to be easy this year with them playing some tough teams.

I missed the Scrimmage #1 vs. Bellevue but understand that CC handled them pretty well.

Scrimmage #2 featured a rather large Lexington Bryan Station team. IMO a very well coached / disciplined group. The BS running back (his name escapes me) is a complete package. He made a one-handed catch down the middle of the field for TD that would have made Brandon Griffin envious.

The Camel 1st Offense played 2 series vs. the Bryan Station 1st D and moved the ball very well. Series #2 saw the Camels O ramble to the 1/2 foot line. Play #9 was a QB sneak that was stopped. Play #10 was mis-handled on the snap by QB Andrew Eshman and the result was a no score by the Camels. Eshman, however, showed a great deal of poise for a Sophomore vs. (did I mention) a very big Bryan Station group.

Overall, the Camels played Bryan Station tough. A pretty even match overall.

You do realize that the VERY BIG BRYAN STATION TEAM is in your class don't you? If they are big, imagine the size of T,X, or for that sake Boone Co.

Boone County is in no way close to the size of any of those 3 teams. Saint X, Trinity or Bryan Station.

Yes, I do realize that they are in Class 6A.

The Camel squad has good size in their own right and they are very physical. However, I saw 2 or 3 BS starters that were 300 lbs plus range. I must agree with TRAGS, I seriously doubt that Boone has the kind of size that I witnessed out of Bryan Station on Friday night.

Size aside, Boone appears to be very good this year however!!

Not sure what Tates Creek's got, but after what should be a gimme in Pendleton, the Camels should see where they stand early vs. the Boone County triumvirate?? Love to see them get off to a quick start, and build some confidence for the second half of the season!!

Confidence is not an issue for the Camels. The best thing going for Campbell is this is the worst they will be. Going forward, each week will bring better. The pipeline of the underclass, total of 52 with size of its own and talent will spell trouble for the Camel opponents. It took some time to beat out the ok to be average and sports not important culture. Now the paybacks begin!
