okie1
It should be interesting to see what direction HC takes with this move. When they hired Duffy Sr he was one of if not the hottest coaches in Kentucky at the championship level. A lot of the guys you mention haven't ever won anything significant. It will be interesting for sure.

Buffalo Gap
I think all of those mentioned would do a good job.

SportsWatch
I believe Jackson use to be an assistant at Henderson with Tom Duffy.
theguru
Coach Jackson drove to town to hand deliver his application and I understand he is gung ho on the job. I also understand Jay Cobb of Somerset really wants the job too. Also, I hear there is a coach from IN and a coach from OH in the mix. Furthermore, depending on who you talk to, a popular offensive coordinator from KY may or may not be interested in the job. Finally, I have heard a million and one other names but none that I feel comfortable sharing right now.
NEERFAN
Lots of interest from the eastern part of the state.
theguru
Neer, I think there is a lot of interest period in this job because if done right (both by the head coach and the administration/boosters) Hendo could be the top football program in KY. Son of Bear
^I knew Henderson County had a very large student body, but I didn't realize that kind of potential.....
theguru
^I knew Henderson County had a very large student body, but I didn't realize that kind of potential..... Put it this way, I am on the Hendo bandwagon no matter who they hire. Hendo is the kind of school that can stand up to T and X and do more good for football in this state than any other single school. For example, what Chuck Smith did at Boyle County shows everyone that all this public/private split garbage is nothing more than an excuse for public schools not realizing their potential. Now, if Hendo makes it to the promise land in 6A it will be a lot more difficult for the public school problem children to drag the entire state down with more garbage proposals. Every private school fan in KY should be rooting for nothing but the best for Henderson County. Also, all honest, ethical, "self-respecting" fans of KY high school football should be on the Hendo bandwagon.
NEERFAN
I can't say I disagree, a school of that size should be able to compete yearly with the privates.
Tigertalker
What the heck, I am going to predict the next Coach at Henderson will come from the state of Ohio. Great fan support, large school, and only show in town. You got Evansville right across the river where the river boat casino's lights scream your name. I've always liked the program/town of Henderson. Its only downfall is it produced my ex-wife!
theguru
I think you may be on to something TT. I believe some of the powers that be are really high on an Ohio coach. Stay tuned!
