The Gallatin County Wildcats Baseball team was without most of their seniors on Friday night and maybe that would have been the difference as Villa Madonna came to Warsaw and left with a win. The final was 10-7. The Wildcats were down 3 runs after the top of the first inning but came back with 4 in their half to take the one run lead. Cam Whited had his first pitching start of the year and did well. Villa had added 3 more runs, 2 in the 4th inning and 1 in the 6th inning giving them the lead 6-5. Then it happened.........the big inning. It has happened more often than not that the Wildcats give up the big inning and can't make it back up in time. Villa scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning, extending their lead to 10-5. Jeff Lamping threw a complete game for the Blue Lightning striking out 8 Wildcats. The Wildcats tried to come back in the 7th inning with a pair of triples by Trent Maddox and Josh Giles. The runs came up short as the Wildcats plated only 2 in the final frame. the Wildcats had 4 errors in the game also.

The Wildcats drop to 10-12-1 with the loss. They will face the Henry County Wildcats Saturday morning in the makeup game for the rainout last week in the final seeding game for the 31st district tournament.
