Week in Review: 

Lyon County is undefeated in 2026, extending its winning streak to 7 games today with a dominant performance over Lighthouse Christian Academy, Tennessee. Henderson County only played one game this week, a 71-26 statement win at home over Christian County.  Union County caught everyone's attention this week with its 4th straight victory at home on Friday, an impressive overtime win against 6th District rival Webster County.  Hopkinsville topped Hop Central to solidify its spot in the region’s top 4, but dropped two games over the weekend to Indiana competition.

Team Rankings:

1. Lyon County (12-5) The Lions have a 7-game winning streak and are 9-0 in the region.  

2. Henderson County (12-4) The Colonels made a statement with a dominant performance against Christian County.   

3. Webster County (13-6) The Trojans slipped up against Union County but hold at 3 as the teams behind them couldn’t capitalize on their opportunities to move up this week. 

4. Hopkinsville (12-9) The Tigers handled business in region play but couldn’t come away with a W on their trip to Evansville. 

5. Union County (12-5) The Braves moved up three spots this week after defeating Webster County, and are trending upward with a four-game winning streak.  

6. Hopkins County Central (9-5) The Storm offense is clearly dangerous, but it will need to prove its mettle on the defensive end to compete with the top-tier teams in Region 2. 

7. Christian County (6-8) The Colonels are on a 3-game losing streak, but hold at 7 in this week’s rankings as all of these losses have been to teams in the top tier of the region. 

8. UHA (5-9)  The Blazers' losing streak extended to four this week,  but like Christian County, have faced higher-ranked competition in each game.

9. Caldwell County (7-8) - The Tigers move up a couple of spots this week because of an impressive road showing at Muhlenberg County, losing 71-75.  The Tiger offense has the pieces to knock off teams above them on a given night. 

10. Dawson Springs (5-10) The Panthers remain in the top 10 based on the head-to-head win over Livingston Central from the All A Classic.
