Week 10

Jacob Savage (RB/LB, Ryle)

🗞️ | He was a little handsy with Simon Kenton, leading to the Pioneers filing a restraining order. Savage caught a 32 yard touchdown pass, sacked SK’s Grant Webb, hauled in a diving interception, nearly picked off another that ended up being a perfectly executed tip-drill with teammate Andrew Smith, was an all-around menace to SK ball carriers, and chipped in almost a hundred rushing yards and two touchdowns. It was a pretty okay night.

Season so far: 130 carries for 908 yards and 18 touchdowns | 4 touchdown receptions | 83 tackles | 10 TFL | 1 fumble forced and one recovered | 1 interception

Evan Hampton (RB, Owensboro)

🗞️ | If there's daylight, he'll find it. Even after the sun sets, the Red Devil will conjure it into existence. As Owensboro poured it on a suddenly struggling Madisonville, Hampton joined the 61 point barrage with two touchdown receptions (78 & 28 yards) and a 37 yard touchdown scamper.

Season so far: 102 carries for 967 yards and 13 touchdowns | 154 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns

Kain Patton (ATH, Prestonsburg)

🗞️ | He was tied down and gagged in the first half, unable to make a peep against Martin County. With their undefeated season on the line in a back and forth brawl, the Blackcats turned to their showman. Kain was able in the second half, rolling up the lion’s share of his 189 rushing yards and both touchdowns after halftime as Prestonsburg rallied late to keep its spotless record intact.

Season so far: 103 carries for 1,424 yards and 20 touchdowns | 24 receptions for 520 yards and 5 touchdowns | 37 tackles | 1 sack

Keagan Maher (RB, Cooper)

🗞️ | Maher feasted on district opposition once again, running for 148 yards and three scores on eight carries against Boone County. He's averaged 152 yards per game with 15 touchdowns over his last four.
Season so far: 159 carries for 1,181 yards and 19 touchdowns | 215 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns

Kaleb Evans (QB, Lloyd Memorial)

🗞️ | He completed 7 of 10 throws with four touchdowns against Carroll County. The watchlist has a long running affinity for quarterbacks that throw more touchdown passes than incompletions.
Season so far: 108/156 (69%) for 1,717 yards and 23 touchdowns with 5 interceptions | 1 rushing touchdown

Markezz Hightower (RB, Madisonville-North Hopkins)

🗞️ | One minute you're the hammer, the next, you're the nail. Hightower could only watch as Owensboro swung with reckless abandon, driving the Maroons further and further from the #1 ranking they once held. MNH was outgunned by the Red Devils, and Hightower lost the battle within the war to Hampton, running for just 43 yards.
Season so far: 156 carries for 1,328 yards and 22 touchdowns | 116 receiving yards

Mason Griffin (QB, South Laurel)

🗞️ | His campaign is on life support following a disastrous night against arch-rival North Laurel. Griffin threw for 162 yards and was picked off twice as South’s offense sputtered.
Season so far: 192/272 (70%) for 2,502 yards and 22 touchdowns with 5 interceptions

Landon Yoak (RB/LB, East Carter)

🗞️ | It was a long, frustrating night on the hill at Russell, who did a stellar job of preventing the state's premier downhill runner from getting north-south. He was bottled up for 72 yards on seventeen carries, frequently with his momentum halted in the backfield.
Season so far: 150 carries for 1,394 yards and 18 touchdowns | 16 tackles | 6 TFL | 1 sack

Cam Davis (ATH, Ashland)

🗞️ | His night against Johnson Central was a microcosm of his team's performance. It's as if Davis and the Tomcats weren't even there. He totaled 27 yards of offense on eight touches as Ashland was thoroughly wiped off the field in Paintsville.
Season so far: 117 carries for 939 yards and 18 touchdowns | 148 receiving yards and 1 touchdown | 3 interceptions, including a pick-six

‼️Milestones‼️
Cam O'Hara (QB, Cooper)
🗞️ | First, the school record book fell by the wayside. Now it's the NKY edition, one that's noticeably thicker. O'Hara is now the region's all-time leader in career passing yards, aside from the touchdown pass standard he's already set. The Lorenzen’s, Towles’, Hergott’s, and Morgan's of the world are now all in his rearview. He's also this week's recipient of the 'William Tell Marksmanship Award' 🎯 after completing a perfect 10/10 attempts against Boone County. And I'm certain that's what he was really after this week.
Season so far: 88/154 (60%) for 1,380 yards and 13 touchdowns with 5 interceptions

Trending Up 📈
Maddox O'Neal (QB, McCracken County)
🗞️ | After receiving an honorable mention in the pre-season watchlist, O'Neal faded from view following an inauspicious start by player and team. As poor as the front half of the regular season was, the back half has been 🔥. He's averaging 264 yards per game with a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 21/0 over his last five. O'Neal became McCracken's all-time leader in career yards and touchdown passes last week against Henderson County.
Season so far: 144/228 (63%) for 1,892 yards and 26 touchdowns with 5 interceptions | 2 rushing touchdowns

All great players but I don't see how in any way Savage does not win this! He definitely deserves it at this point!
