Earlier this year Danville made the decision last year to cancel its longtime series with Boyle County.  The open slot on the schedule was taken by Lincoln County, who cancelled out of a planned game with Scott County.  This game is currently planned for Admiral Stadium but on last week's radio broadcast announcers said it was possible the game could take place at Centre College because of the water leak at Admiral Stadium that forced the Danville-Pulaski County game to get moved.

Danville (0-2) enters trying to break a 14-game losing streak that dates back to the second round of the 2A playoffs in November 2022.  The Ads are fielding a lot of young talent and were outmatched against Pulaski.  The Maroons, surging under new coaching leadership, got a running clock going by the end of the first quarter last week.  The Admirals offensive attack has leaned a lot on freshman quarterback Naythan Doyle and sophomore Trinden Sellers.  It has struggled to get going, though, as the Ads have not scored touchdowns until the fourth quarter of their two games.  And overall they have been outscored 90-13.

Lincoln (2-0) looks to extend an unbeaten streak under new coach Levi Rogers.  Lincoln has won two close games to start the year, defeating Garrard County in its opener 27-20 and Bullitt Central last week 17-14.  Since Lincoln is in a district with Boyle County they are looking to keep their momentum going into the late part of their schedule where some are projecting them to possibly finish as district runner-up, something that could set up one of their better playoff runs in a while.

I'm treading on @Mr.Network territory here, but Lincoln County has only beat Danville on the field once in 26 tries, a 20-0 win in 1988. (The Patriots lost to Danville in 2004 in a game the Admirals later forfeited due to use of an ineligible player). There have been a few near misses and a few times in which the Patriots were maybe the favorite but couldn't get the victory. Is this the year?

This will make it twice.

Lincoln should win this game, but I've seen the Patriots play Danville a few times and have the better team and still lose.  It's been a mental hurdle for a long time.  I still think Lincoln wins but wouldn't be shocked if Danville can break it's losing streak against the Patriots.

Agreed that it has been a hurdle for Lincoln.  Probably no better way for Rogers to show that things aren't "business as usual" by making a statement in this game.

If Danville doesn't win this one, where do they find a win?

My guess would be when the admin wakes up and finds a great coach to lead their team. When they finally decide to invest in the program and not run it in the ground.
