In a game that was played pretty much like from what I read about the Boone vs. NewCath game, NDA played good enough to win by ten, but if they had played to their best, would/could/should have won by more. The newspaper will tell you Dickman and Tierney were the team leaders on the scoreboard, but what the paper stats don't show, is Smith getting at least 10 rebounds from her guard position, by being in the right place at the right time. Jackson, who is fighting a nasty cold (and has done so in games against Ballard and Dixie) didn't look sharp, but it was good to see Drees out on the floor after getting hurt in the Dixie game. NDA plays a tough Conner team Saturday night at Conner.

Dickman's game speaks volumes

Points (25), boards (10) come easier than words

Truth be told, Nicole Dickman would rather avoid the spotlight. Reporters make her nervous, she's never sure what to say after a game, and - worst of all - she's usually faced with both after Notre Dame wins. Luckily, her basketball skills speak volumes.

Dickman scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Pandas, ranked first in the Enquirer coaches' poll, beat No. 4 Newport Central Catholic 61-51 in Notre Dame territory Thursday night.

It looks like you all put the same clamp on Sandfoss that Boone did. Nicole looks like she held Cundiff in check except for the free throw line. That is where she made her living at Boone. I can't imagine tierney was gaurding Klei with her scoring 22 points she usually can lock down a player. Good win for ND and congrats to Nicole for the recognition.

Good observation cootyb25. For some reason Coach D had Casey Jackson guarding her most of the night. Why? Don't have a clue....
