A particular coach across the river is no longer in season.

And he would leave his current job to be the head Bluebird? He wasn't good enough before....why now? The guy there now has done what was asked. 15-20 years ago football in NKY was good but the Birds had an unbelievable run of talent. Unless they win it all EVERY YEAR it's never enough. They had a great chance to pull it out Friday against a very good, well coached team. The coaches called the right stuff......they didn't make the turnovers. By the way, during the last search comments were made that the Cooper coach would never be considered lol.

No way Sphire is leaving without it being on his terms. To me it seems he doesn't put up with any garbage from anyone, and the program went from doing nothing to losing a heart breaker in the state semifinals in 3 years. People seem to not remember the time before Dale Mueller, they won a lot but also didn’t win every year. This coach has only been at Highlands for 3 years and they are night and day better than they were 4 years ago.
