The "scale" is proprietary to Professor Massey. His system has some credibility beyond HS. His calculations are used as part of college football's BCS rankings.

Massey KY Strength of Schedule

🍀🍀🍀 The Trinity Shamrocks, after defeating Eastern 45-0 in a 6A District 5 matchup, are coasting in the top spot of the Commonwealth's Top 20 for the third consecutive week.  

Two premier games last Friday provided some of the biggest movement in the ratings from the previous week:

#14 South Warren drops four places after their 29-36 home field loss to Bowling Green. The #15 Purples move up four places, primarily on the strength of that win. 

#19 Bryan Station moves down four spots after their 14-34 loss to #4 Frederick Douglass.

Example: CAL and Bowling Green are ahead of LCA, two team LCA beat and LCA has a stronger strength of schedule then both.

Overall, I’m not a fan of common opponent comparisons unless it’s glaring.  In this case, both have wins over Conner, Great Crossing & Campbell Co. by similar margins.  It appears both teams are fairly even.  Best part is that Simon Kenton gets to prove you right this Friday….or prove you wrong. 🤷🏻‍♂️
