John Kitna returning to Cincinnati area as Lakota East head coach

Reports are out this afternoon that former Bengals QB John Kitna is taking the head coaching job at Lakota East.

This is in the Moeller thread and makes me wonder if Lakota East can pull Jon Kitna, what can Moeller do:

I was wondering the same thing unless he wants to move to Cincinnati for whatever reason.

He had family there while in Cincy (nephews maybe?) and ran a Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter there.

Even if it is moving to Cincinnati, I would go to Moeller over Lakota East. Of course I am assuming Moeller would have interest in him.

I agree and a small part of me has been wondering it he may step down at Lakota East and take the Moeller job if it is offered.

Does Kitna have any connections to catholic or private schools in his past?

 

I don't know much but I think he's where he wants to be.

Kitna is very religious. He was pretty outspoken throughout his career about his faith and I believe got a few reprimands from the NFL. He is not Catholic though, and I think his flavor of Christianity (think more of the non denominational churches) would not make him a good fit at Moeller or any other private Catholic school.
