ATLANTA - It took the Notre Dame Academy basketball team three quarters to shake off the rust, then the Pandas secured a 66-52 victory over St. Vincent Pallotti (Md.) in the first round of the St. Pius X Christmas Classic on Wednesday.

 

"It was ugly, but it works," NDA coach Cheryl Darpel said. "We didn't

get a practice in before coming down here." Notre Dame (10-1) plays Florida's Bishop Kenny, a first-round winner over Mercy, at 4 p.m. today.
