Looks spot on to me. That Beechwood game this Friday will be UGLY.

Don't get there late or you might miss it.

I think Beechwood will be on a steady diet of running clocks until the semi-finals.

Probably.

As someone who roots for Beechwood (no connection other than wanting as many NKY titles as possibly each year) I hate it.

It makes you wonder how conditioned and disciplined they will be after 2 months of running clocks.

It will be unfortunate for some of the opponents but you have to play the varsity into the first possession of the second half regardless of score to maintain conditioning and game routine.

From the Beechwood fans I have talked to that is the consensus, they hate it and they wonder.

... they wonder ...... what?

They wonder how a month and a half off will affect the team when they have to turn it back on.

One advantage is less chance of injuries so go into playoffs healthy and more fresh. Season is a grind so can be a advantage. Better to be under-conditioned than over-conditioned.

Nothing new. That's the way it has been for years and Beechwood has done fine.

The decline of Lloyd, Newport and New Cath are disappointing. I do wonder how long the Tigers will keep scheduling New Cath in that last regular season game. It sure isn't what it used to be.

Same for LCA - district is way down. Typically they would be battling Somerset and before that Danville. Traditionally the toughest district in 2A. Odd year. I think it finishes out - LCA - Danville - Washington - Somerset. The Washington / Danville game could be interesting for 2nd. LCA finishes up with 6A Henry Clay who is way down this year as well.

I don’t think Danville is better than Green or Middlesboro but that’s just one man’s opinion.

Danville has played a stronger schedule and has wins against those tougher opponents.
