1. Johnson Central (13-1): Notching back-to-back wins in Week 7, Johnson Central defeated Breathitt County and Pikeville. The Golden Eagles have won 10 straight games. Johnson Central knocked off Pikeville when the two 15th Region title contenders met in the Mountain Schoolboy Classic at Belfry High School on Saturday, Feb. 20. Currently, Cory VanHoose is averaging a team-high 17.4 points per game for the Golden Eagles. Johnson Central is shooting 39.1 percent (108-of-276) from 3-point range. The Golden Eagles have upcoming games scheduled versus Boyd County (Feb. 22, away), Prestonsburg (Feb. 24, home) and Martin County (Feb. 27, away). 
 
2. Pikeville (7-6): The Panthers have dropped back-to-back games to region title contenders Knott County Central and Johnson Central. Prior to being sidelined during Pikeville's game versus Johnson Central, Rylee Samons was averaging 22.4 points per game. The Panthers are slated to face Belfry (Feb. 22, away), Jenkins (Feb. 24, home) and Shelby Valley (Feb. 27, home) in Week 8. 
 
3. Shelby Valley (9-5): The Wildcats bounced back to beat Prestonsburg following a loss to East Ridge. Kaden Robinson is averaging a team-high 18.3 points per game for the Wildcats. Shelby Valley has upcoming games scheduled versus Paintsville (Feb. 23, home), Phelps (Feb. 25, away) and Pikeville (Feb. 27, away). 
 
4. Belfry (8-7): The Pirates reeled off three straight wins in Week 7, defeating district rival Pike County Central, Martin County and Magoffin County. Belfry is due to meet Pikeville (Feb. 22, home), Letcher County Central (Feb. 23, home), Lawrence County (Feb. 25, away) and East Ridge (Feb. 26, home) in Week 8.
 
5. Betsy Layne (7-5): Much-improved Betsy Layne has secured the 58th District's number one seed. The Bobcats upended host Lawrence County 80-65 in Week 7. Betsy Layne has put together three straight wins. The Bobcats are due to face Pike County Central (Feb. 24) and Breathitt County (Feb. 27) in Week 8.
 
6. Martin County (5-8): Currently on a three-game losing skid, reigning 15th Region champion Martin County dropped games to Belfry and Wolfe County in Week 7. Martin County is due to host Magoffin County (Feb. 22) and Johnson Central (Feb. 27) for 57th District games in Week 8. 
 
7. Paintsville (5-5): The Tigers haven't played since February 9. Paintsville has upcoming games scheduled versus Shelby Valley (Feb. 23, away), Russell (Feb. 25, home) and Magoffin County (Feb. 27, away). 
 
8. East Ridge (7-7): The Warriors pulled away to defeat Shelby Valley 55-38 in Week 7. East Ridge has claimed back-to-back wins after dropping six of seven games. The Warriors have  upcoming games scheduled versus Phelps (Feb. 23, home) and Belfry (Feb. 26, away).
 
9. Pike County Central (9-6): In Week 7, Pike County Central knocked off Ligon COGO and Whitley County but suffered a five-point loss to district rival Belfry. The Hawks have home games scheduled versus Phelps (Feb. 22), Betsy Layne (Feb. 24), Rose Hill Christian (Feb. 26) and Floyd Central (Feb. 27) in Week 8. 
 
10. Magoffin County (7-7): The Hornets suffered a 10-point loss to Belfry in overtime in the Mountain Schoolboy Classic on Saturday, Feb. 20. Magoffin County has upcoming games scheduled against Martin County (Feb. 22, away), Perry County Central (Feb. 24, home), Floyd Central (Feb. 25, away) and Paintsville (Feb. 27, home). 
 
11. Lawrence County (6-5): The Bulldogs dropped a key 58th District game to Betsy Layne. Lawrence County is due to meet Floyd Central (Feb. 22, home), Prestonsburg (Feb. 23, home), Belfry (Feb. 25, home) and Bath County (Feb. 26, away) in Week 8.. 
 
12. Prestonsburg (5-7): The Blackcats claimed a 58th District win over Floyd Central prior to falling to Shelby Valley in the Belfry-hosted Mountain Schoolboy Classic on Saturday, Feb. 20. Prestonsburg is poised to face Lawrence County (Feb. 23), Johnson Central (Feb. 24), Jenkins (Feb. 25), Knox Central (Feb. 26) and Buckhorn (Feb. 27) in a five-game stretch on the road. 
 
13. Floyd Central (4-8): The Jaguars slipped back into the loss column after suffering a 58th District setback to Prestonsburg. Floyd Central is slated to play Buckhorn (Feb. 21, home), Lawrence County (Feb. 22, away), June Buchanan (Feb. 24, away), Magoffin County (Feb. 25, home) and Pike County Central (Feb. 27, away) in Week 8.
 
14. Phelps (1-10): The Hornets are slated to face Pike County Central (Feb. 22, away), East Ridge (Feb. 23, away) and Shelby Valley (Feb. 25, home) in Week 8.
 
15. Jenkins (1-4): The Cavaliers are scheduled to meet Pikeville (Feb. 24, away) and Prestonsburg (Feb. 25, home) in Week 8.
