Villa Madonna walked away with the W last night when senior forward, Sarah Surace, put a late second half goal in to take the lead. Villa scored first on a goal by senior Maddie Schenthal. Assists credited to senior Maddie Malone and sophomore Caitlin Riordan.

 

Walton followed in the second half a few minutes after Schenthal's goal with a strategically placed one-on-one shot by breaking away from the Villa defenders.

Lots of action again in front of the Villa keeper, junior Brooke Meier. Both Walton keepers did an exceptional job communicating to accelerate their strong punts. Thankfully, the Villa defense and keeper were able to hold Walton to just 1 goal as their forwards were on the constant attack, and they were fast.
