6A #4 Male vs. #5 Pleasure Ridge Park

Male defeated Butler 35-6 to bring their record to 5-1. The sole loss was to #1 Trinity. The Bulldogs defeated Floyd Central (IN), Ballard, Doss, and Western in 2017. Senior Cameron Chesher, junior Garrett Dennis, and sophomore Crew Egan each contribute at quarterback for Male. Junior Henry Vestal is the Bulldogs leading rusher. Senior Ethan Bibb is Male’s key receiver.

Pleasure Ridge Park lost to St. Xavier 35-21 in their district opener. This was the first loss of the season for the Panthers. Pleasure Ridge Park beat Valley, Bowling Green, Eastern and North Hardin prior to the St. Xavier game. Senior QB Bryant Robinson is the key to the Panthers’ offense. Senior Dewayne Hall is the lead running back and senior Michael Hopper is the key pass receiver.

Male thrashed PRP 46-3 in the 2016 regular season and squeaked out a 27-24 win in the state quarterfinals. In 2015, Male won 44-0 and the series was suspended from 2007-2014.
